I am hoping to take a trip east next week, but the problem is my passenger has already fallen asleep once on the 401 and it scares me to take a long trip knowing this...

any advice?

also any suggestions as to routes and destinations would be appreciated. have nothing planned yet, just know I wanna go that a way

That is kinda scary.

How old is this passenger?, have they been seen by a doctor for a condition like narcolepsy?

I would suggest a quick visit to a GP, just to make sure this isn't a medical issue.

How the hell do you fall asleep on a motorcycle?!

I bet they'd make a great rider! lol

(How old is the passenger?)

Umm...dont take a passenger who can fall asleep on you...thats just really dangerous

My young kids [under 10] fall asleep.. so I put them between me and the tank.. and installed "foot pegs" they could reach .. when my boy got older.. his face would hit the cross bar on the handlebars when he "nodded" off... so I had to put a pillow in a tank bag... lol for the long trips to the cottage..

Ever heard of meth?

My Dad's wife sleeps often on his bagger....and when she isn't sleeping, she reads novels. Seriously.

If none of these work try driving a lot faster. One way or another this list answers your question :lmao:

Don't forget the bath salts too

I had one fall asleep on me too, as she was falling to the side I felt her hand/arm moving from my side and I clamped down with my elbow and caught her. Woulda been nasty.

I would recommend 5 hour energy. Tastes like garbage, works freakin amazing.

either get a communication system, like a scala rider or whatever, so you guys can communicate and she can let you know when you're tired. the other option, if you don't want to spend money, is to find a way that she can let you know she's tired. she can knock on your helmet or whatever, and that's your signal to exit the highway and take a few minute break.

Sour candies. the hard one that takes awhile to finish.

My daughter fell asleep on my old Beemer years ago a few times.I splashed her with my water bottle when i felt the thump in the back.We talked seriously about it and she agreed to give me the sign when she needed to get off and do a wake up walkabout. It's all about communication with your passsenger.

edit: never been a passenger....wonder what that's like?

Scare the living beejezus out of her by doing some crazy stunts....wont blink an eye she will be holding on so tight...
