Yes, at this point I'm not even considering looking for this non-insidious "friend" because that would require a private investigator. I went to the parents house and dropped a short note in the mailbox. With no response after couple days I went there to knock on the door. Then it hit me, wrong house(it's been 25yrs) So I knocked on the correct house and beergut who presented isself told me straight away Alice doesn't live here anymore. Now what? Turn to GTAM for comedy gold? Fail.
So after my splendid ride with Crackberry today I went to the 'hood, luckily I was able to engage with a helpful neighbour who remembers them but his wife will surely know more. Waiting on that.
Then I checked the MLS listings for the sold house, drove to the office and spoke with the brokers assistant. She recognized the name immediately. Waiting for that to flesh out.
Called City Hall records. There has to be a record of who owns every house everywhere. I don't think that's something they will disclose just for the asking over the phone. This is like a new hobby now.

Interest? Its a total fascination. My two bucks says he now identifies as black , has moved to the gay neighborhood in the hammer (you have one right) and will be found operating a food truck. Joe has already met him, but he had no idea, he was captivated by the brisket.

Actually she's looking pretty darn good but that's not even the issue. We've seen each other probably 5 times in the last 25 yrs. and we always lock eyes. This most recent time we locked eyes for a solid 30 seconds but seemed a lot longer. I refuse to run to her, which was something she could always count on. She owes me a satisfactory explanation, which in light of her now being 44, she should be capable of. The explanation should rise to the level of importance that it shouldn't be left to a chance encounter but to an effort on her part to seek me out. Since women can never admit wrong, that's kind of a long shot.
