How to find someone?

After many years I went to a friends house only to find out they had moved about a year ago. They are still within the city(Hamilton). Basic googling doesn't seem to help. What are some good methods to find someone?

edit, reverse 411 still gives the old address but phone number, when entering phone number it comes up as nothing found. I think reverse 411 is broken.

Reverse 411 will not work if they have a mobile number - only works for listed land lines.
