How should i pick up the bike i am buying?

Not sure if you'll find any legitimate commercial company willing to ship a bike from Toronto to Barrie for that kind of money. That'd barely pay overhead, a driver, and fuel on a deadhead return trip. Actually, it almost certainly wouldn't.

If if you do find someone that cheap chances are they're not a legit commercial carrier, so IMHO you're no further ahead vs doing it yourself. You're potentially taking even more risk actually.

Yea it ain't gonna cost 80 or 100, close to 200 or even higher for sure.

I would rent a Van, pick up the bike with a friend, take it to be certified on the way by popping by Rosie toes and then just have the MTO paper work to do.

not sure where you guys are shopping but CAA Gold gives you 200km tow and Plat. gives you higher tow distance.

We weren't talking CAA, we were talking a commercial carrier. It's also been mentioned many times here that CAA will not tow an unplated vehicle.

Don't they require the vehicle to be licensed/plated. I have CAA premier for both me and my wife but I was talking private companies like toy hauler and motolimo

Nice Guy. OP you cannot go wrong with this offer. Absolutely the best. Take "Iceman" up on the offer. You will learn a lot.

OP, in all seriousness, take Iceman's offer - you will not find anything more reasonable along with the company of a fellow rider to chat about motorcycles during the trip - win win for you. He may also spot something you didn't notice at the time of pickup, experience and all.

+1 I've met the Iceman. Don't let the moniker fool you. All indicators point to a clean operation. Also he is a family man. You have nothing to worry about. $40 plus coffee is practically free. Come to think of it, it's more like a loss leader. I wonder what he wants? Keep us in the loop.
