can someone give me a realistic amount ill be paying annually in insurance for a honda rebel 250 as a 17 year old before i go down too deep into this rabbit hole
no idea how much exactly but probably a lot based on the fact that you're 17 years old...have you called around at all?...do you have your G2?...are you insured at all under your parents for any vehicle?...where do you live?...all relevant questions...best bet is to call your parents insurance provider and see what they say...try doing an online quote but keep in mind, they're not always the most accurate...
Fiddles has most of it. Sadly for a new young rider, probably the wrong side of $2000 but the only way to know for sure is getting prices. @NFP Moto is a broker with access to many companies and the contact is a rider so he might be able to help you without a VIN number. Many insurance companies are like bashing your head against the wall as they won't give you a price without a VIN and you don't want to pick a bike until you have a price.
I was working with an 18 year old young blood. He had this old and well running ford escort - I asked what he paid for insurance and he told me 475$. I said "thats not bad, thats for 6 months, not a year eh? He looked at me like I was from outer space - that was the monthly payment !
