I'm in. CASH ONLY. My bike! When are we doing this ?
20mins!
Can I try??
+1 20 mins maybe a ******** jobJust record the work and do it whenever you like.
No running/rushing. Do it the way a shop would and we'll see how unrealistic the 20-minute claim is.
I have done many, many, many tire changes and wheel changes on my 10R, Id estimate that if I did two tire changes it would take me no less than 45 mins.

45 is more realistic on bike. Remove tires from bike. Clean rims, remove tire and stem and install new valve stem, put on new tire ,remove old weights and get the sticky **** off ,balance ,put new weights on , reinstall. Look up torque Specs.
I'm sure you could do two tires in 20 minutes I'f you did a half *** job and didn't care about quality of work.
And the OP still hasn't verified what kind of bike he has.
A higher cost for the rear tire change makes me think it's not a sport bike, it's something more labour intensive.
The 1800 wings have a single side swingarm and is no tougher to change than a car wheel. The stiff sidewall tires are another story tho.I have a shop swap the tires on it.I have always changed my own tires with a homemade beadbreaker and tire irons. It's not that difficult. What has happened to people?Good point, although last month Tony told me a story where he changed a guy's Goldwing back tire by laying it down on the ground on his lawn. Said it was way faster that way haha
My local shops were past $60+ea tire and only if I bought from them. Next place close to me i'd assume belleville which is quite the drive.
I mount, balance, and install 'em myself.

Two words. Rip off. Larry's in Orangeville tried the whole oh you didn't buy the tires here so we need to charge more. 160 to swap em. I laughed all the way out the door. West end cycle in Caledon was super cool and did it for me for I think 60? Both wheels on the bike and I tipped him for not making me wait.
that's what the rep told me "We don’t mind installing tires purchased elsewhere but please keep in mind that install price changes if you bring us the tires".

Funny story. Had to buy a new sprocket for the GF's (now ex) bike and saw a super nice YEC aluminum rear sprocket on Kijiji. Went to pick it up, sign over the door at the shop in pickering "Brooklin Cycle" lol, wtf? Tons of bikes, parts, etc. inside. Guy that answered the door didn't want to talk much, handed over the sprocket, paid the $$, done. I asked around and they go by BCR/Brooklin Cycle Racing now.So fourteen years ago I walk into Brooklin cycle and ask how much to change a set of tires (wheels off the bike), the guy asks "did you buy the tires here?". I said "No,I just bought the bike here last month, brand new for almost $14,500" He said it would be $90 (wheels off the bike ,fourteen years ago!) I paid it and never went back.Guess that's why they're not in business anymore.
you can get one of these for ~$90 CAD delivered on ebay. A couple hundred wheel weights for $40, and a set of spoons is relatively inexpensive. Now you can change tires forever. If you can brake the bead, the rest is just a bit of practice.
