I'm looking for a Ninja 250 for my wife. After looking at the ridiculous prices most guys are asking for their used ones, I've pretty much decided to go new.
I've got a dealer price on a new leftover 2010 for $4674, including PDI and freight. I'm just wondering if this sounds like a good price.

that price out the door sounds like a pretty good price for a brand new bike considering used go for about 4k, keep in mind that the 250s are among the best at retaining their resale value

For that price, your better off going new. What shop gave you that price?

Also, why not look at the new CBR 250? I have a love + hate thing going on with my Ninja. I love it because its a great commuter and its fun. I hate it because it takes forever to warm up. The new CBR 250's are FI, just my 2 cent.

doubt the Honda price will be the same as the kawi?

Thanks for the responses guys. I got a little impatient, and went out this morning and bought one.
Cameron Cycle in Peterborough has some leftover 2010s. I think I got the last red one. I know there's still at least one blue and one black.
I just need to get a lowering kit now--wife's only 5' and isn't really comfortable on her tiptoes yet.

i got my 2010 for $5200 OTD last year, if you can get a new one for $4600 + tax that's about what I paid for mine.

yea it's a cold blooded ***** but everything I've been reading still shows the Kawi as the better bike. I want to ride the Honda to make my own judgement, but the Ninja certainly wins in the looks department. I wish Kawi would give us the FI version, but i doubt we'll see that happen anytime soon.

Ever ride the thing?? Or just going by what you've read online? The Ninja is not nearly as bad as its made out to be and CBR 250 is sooooooooo wimpy all around. You'd probably ride that thing and come back posting "it warms right up, but I hate it because its so lacking in the fun..." Something which you can't easily change due its overall design and engineering.
And it just looks like ****...He was asking about a Ninja so lets stick to that.
To the OP yes, that is a great price on a brand new bike. You have some people on here asking up to 4500 which is crazy is you ask me, and then you still gotta pay taxes on it.
