How many of you had the balls to

Back straight at Mosport, within 500 rpm of redline in sixth. When you come over the hill that corner looks like it's coming really fast.

I don't have the balls.....to self incriminate.

Oh but legally once I topped my ZX10R on the Nurburgring straight. Kinda freaky though because you then have to come to a complete stop to swipe your pass for another lap. So it's top out, then air brakes, then on the brakes hard, and sharing the track with cars....just got shivers again!

going fast in a straight line doesnt take balls.

+1

I've had every single one of my sleds to the bar and shifted all the way out, some hit 200ish. Even slamming across the ground at speeds that I really couldn't deal with if I hit something, it's a thrill for sure, but anyone can do it... And it has more to do with stupidity.

Now, I get my thrills at lower speeds, but it takes balls to do a 100' jump up hill 3 or 4 stories up, or smashing a rhythm section where if you misjudge anything you are done for... That takes balls and skill.

I've only taken my bike to max speed once, just to see what it would do, not to test my nerves.

See that would have been original of we didn't already have one guy saying they do 10% over the limit, one saying they only do 100km/h and another saying they top up their bike before they leave.

I disagree. Mine was the funniest.

I have not topped out my own bikes ... but on a rental Vstrom 650 I found out it tops out at 195kph indicated... its 400rpm from redline and WILL NOT go faster ... in 6th gear it slows down to 185kph. I had the throttle held wide open for 40mins on the Autobahn in Germany. My brother found out a CBF600 tops out at 215kph at the same time.
