Op...what are you planning to do with this 250??? Red line it every time you ride??...These 250s are started bikes that can take a lot of punishment....These are the same bikes ( naked though) that are used in developing countries that have much worse roads, fuel is like molases and whether much hotter than any hot summer day here....and people there load it up with a lot of weight...I've seen upto 3 people on a single bike...some of these guys have had their bikes for along time...a new bike to them is like buying a new car...some thing that does not happen too often....all I've seen them do it not redline their bikes and like every other person here has said....maintain it.Mind you labour there is much more cheaper so a "fork oil change" is worth it...
