How do you guys wave to other motorcyclist

On Sunday, I used the above mentioned 5-0 signal to warn a rider of police.
It was all thanks to this thread- didn't know that's how you do it!

In Europe it's common to use the quick-highbeam flash to warn others of cops, if driving a car. .....I thought it's universal.

Do cagers use it here or not? I'd hate to think I've been causing confusion in gta traffic for years. All while thinking I'm doing a good deed.

We used to... nowadays, most drivers in the GTA don't have a clue what they're doing or what's going on around them.

I flashed my lights on/off at someone the other night to let them know they didn't have their lights on. What does he do? Brake checks me.

So I only bother signaling motorcyclists, they're the only ones actually paying attention on the road.

waving is just show respect of another rider we do it because there only such a small time to ride in Canada

That's just it, I wave to others on crap days because it's a respect thing for me. I hate waving on nice days because I hate fair weather riders and garage queens.

True.. So true. People don't bother with turning on lights also because of the new automatic light function.

Flashing highbeams to oncoming traffic is still done to warn of speed traps.

Ha ha.. "garage queens".. Yep, ton of them around.

Both hands off the bar, stand up on pegs and flail like there's no tomorrow! I'd give a thumbs up if I got wave like that lol

left hand with the peace sign. pointed down or straight out most of the time; if i'm on the highway I'll point it up a bit so they can see it over the medium.

This is really how I wave when I see a Ducati / Agusta

Charming, to say the least.

Yes please do, this has saved my *** many times and I always pay it forward.

Even if 3 people don't get it, the one that does will really appreciate it.

True thing.
Glad to hear someone actually gets my signals.

I'm the same. I thought the quick light flash was universal here? It was when I was in my younger years anyways and I still do it.

I've flashed my lights to warn a person of an upcoming speed trap and they high beam me back... Is this normal? lol

Rarely drive now so I stick with the helmet tap or "flash my beams" on my bike to other drivers although they probably just think my lights are broken and they happen to just be alternating .

Answer to original post: peace sign, full hand wave, or head nod.

I thought it was common here too. I still do it (and have been thanked by oncoming drivers LOL)
