i've also installed a real time digital tire pressure monitoring system on my rims which transmits the pressure and internal tire temp to a display on my dash. works great for the past 5 years now.

I'm afraid of getting those because it'll be gone the same day

I would've said no when I worked at a gas station but that's because, as far as I knew, the only way to turn the thing on was to put money in it. heh

Get a good hand pump so you can check and fix pressure before you leave home.

I am not a fan of dicking around with air pressure at a gas station in full gear. Not to mention the $0.50 charge for air.

It's installed on the rim, before the tire is installed over the rim, it can't be stolen without removing the tire. the display is wired into the power of the electrical harness. I guess it could be cut, but seeing the thief still needs the sensor assemblies mounted to the rim, it wouldn't do them much good by itself.

Then used my portable pump that connects to the cars socket.
