How Did We Get Here

The public school system was a freak show from day one.
The big difference is that all the participants now have the ability to document the silliness and put it on display for the world to see.
Will stay that way as long as it’s run by the inmates.

Furries make some of the best cooling vests.

Or i start a conversation and the woke crowd doesn’t like to talk about it cause it’s makes them feel uncomfortable, and they get offended by it
Not sure what a woke crowd is.
Cat litter was provided in some schools for use during school shooting lockdowns, so students could go pee while locked in the classroom. Then people like you, start to spread nonsense.
I little research goes a long way.

The critical thinking sniff test, most public schools in Ontario don't go back until September. There are exceptions but that should have raised a flag alone when the "buddy at work was telling me that his kid in school, Milton..." was just telling this yarn in mid August. Buddy needs the litterbox as he is full of...

In late June we were bicycling from downtown Vancouver to Kitsilano beach . At the beach wife spots a woman with a coyote tail and headband with ears . She asks WTF? and i have to explain "furries" , those folks that like to be forest animals on weekends. On they way there we had passed the annual nude cycle ride through downtown , with police escort , so it was a full day for her from shock value. I expalined the history of the naked ride , and now she's checking my browser history all the time. Why am I being punished for being well read?

Modern living is knocking the humanity out of us or at least the empathy.
Out for a bike ride waiting on a light i see some guy rollin along on a rental electric scooter looking like he is ODing with traffic zipping all around him and all that comes to mind is that if he falls off I'm going to say something stupid like "you cant park there"
This is figuring that there are enough other bystanders to get him some narcan if he finally topples over.
There was a time when i actually cared about others damn.

Heard this on the radio yesterday. Boba tea company with incredible sales in a multi billion dollar industry not paying credit to the roots in where it was invented, no asian people in any of their marketing media. Major backlash and sales probably going to zero now as random angry people are calling Costco to de-list the product. Sad.
That's like saying every single jar of tomato sauce sold should have an Italian flag on it or a photo of an Italian grandma making pasta on the label.
Is sushi off the table too if you're non Japanese? What if an up and coming Texan chef tries to put pulled pork in a sushi roll? Blasphemy.

I watched a Dragons Den episode where Simu Lui , movie star and guest on the show effectively destroyed the Boba tea company by claiming cultural appropriation. Star power at its worst .

The whole 'cultural appropriation' thing drives me crazy.

Should Indigenous peoples own cigarette stores? Can an Indian restaurant owner host a St. Patrick's Day event? Can a Black or Chinese woman dye her hair blonde?

I get exploitation of deeply significant religious, spiritual things, or cultural honour things... but Bubble tea?

This all started with a woke Dragon's den dude looking to make a name for himself. I think that guy owes the Boba tea people an apology.

The Harbour Diner in Hamilton used to be a great place.

Then they got political. F*** Trudeau signs in the window and a side order of political attitude with your order hasn't gone down as well as the meal. Closed, under new management (Questionable).

Money can talk but it can also shut down.
