How can I block or ignore a member?

I've had enough of his arrogance how do I block someone? And does that prevent them for chirping at me through a PM?

Apparently now, you'll get a series of annoying messages asking if you'd like to view the person's posts.
Bwah, ha, ha, ha, ha! I ignore people manually. i.e. I just skip ahead in the posts.

At the bottom of a thread it says something like "see posts from ignored members". If someone quotes them you see a quote box that says something like "ignored member". You don't see what they wrote unless you click it. The above assumes you haven't blocked me in which case you won't be able to see this. I have no idea on the impact of PM's. Afaik, the two people I have blocked haven't PM'd me. Or maybe they have and the forum trashes it.

Without something similar it may be confusing to follow a thread. If you don't know something is missing and there is a reply you think the person replying has gone nuts.

We can't see how many people ignore us (although I think that would be helpful).
