Who's here doing (Hot) Yoga regularly?

I am looking for some motivation to get back to it (or not). Tell me how it helps you and how did you get into routine for this specific activity...

I did Moksha (Hot) Yoga years back when I was recovering from my shoulder injury to restore full mobility without re-injuring myself - I think it did help a lot but it was soooo hard so I dropped out eventually when I was able to be back rolling..

I feel I need to get back to it as I am noticing I am loosing flexibility and range of motion more and more as I am getting older...

My kid does regular Yoga with Adriene every day.

Lol, that’s one of the funniest things I’ve read in a while.

Open incognito tab. Search Yoga with Adriene. Look over shoulder for children and press enter. Oh good. Baggsy isn't trolling us.
Whew…glad to see I wasn’t the only one to check…for science.

He can touch his toes now, which he never used to be able to do.

She caught on big during covid. I think it's partly Benji the dog.

I did Modo (which is what Moksha is now called) Yoga for two years before COVID and I loved it. I used to race 2hr XC's and then started doing MX. I was in the best shape of my life while I was doing yoga, which I would do at least one class a day and sometimes two (or three on weekends). Once COVID hit, we kept going, but of course they eventually had to shut down. The up and down laws, combined with the studio owners inconsistency and laziness, we both made the decision to quit. Shortly after stopping, I definitely felt way more drained after (and even during) some of the longer races.

Well, fast forward to about a month ago and the studio offered a year for $1000 and we couldn't pass up that deal. We do about 5 classes a week, and absolutely love it! I'm finally started to feel back in shape and the heat is the greatest feeling.

Just a little note on post COVID yoga is that the attendance is WAY down. I really don't even know how the studio is still open to be honest. The most students I've seen has been about 25, which is a quarter of what a full class used to be. I'm not complaining of course, because I hated it when it was really busy.

Reminds me that I got Apple Fitness specifically to do the yoga classes, should probably try one out...
