Wow...
That is one lucky girl.
Did you see all the gear she was wearing?
Ride safe and don't forget to wear your gear.

glad to see she seemed okay.

it was crazy to see how quick an ambulance arrived--less than 2:30 mins into the video. . .maybe it just happened to be going by, or this was right close to a hospital.

to be fair, she merged across the passing lane and directly into the far lane, as far as i can tell--the car that hit her was already at freeway speed, so they didn't have much of a chance to avoid her, unless they went off the road; the car's choices were to hit the trailing rider, go into oncoming traffic, go off the road and onto the shoulder (where that jeep was sitting), or lock them up. yeah, the car might have been going too fast as well.

we can see what they chose.

again, hope she was okay.

she merged right behind the minivan....the driver in the car must have seen it like one of those movies where the radar shows one plane and all of a sudden there are two...she just popped out right infront of him...lucky she was wearing all that gear...

Driver had the sun in his eyes. He was driving faster than his ability to see.

Poor way to merge by the way I see it... I hate it when people dilly dally to get up to speed... But, that car was likely going too fast too, so just a combination of both people in the wrong.

Glad to see she seemed ok thanks to the gear!

She ****ed up by merging into the right lane and also for her slow speed, and she paid for it the hard way...Her left signal was still flashing when she had already drifted into the right lane...People speed that's just life, you need to be aware of that and not cut into their lane at a slow speed. The guy knew what was up, as he was aware of the situation and saw the car coming, even had time to try signal him to stop...Although he did seem to also be drifting into the other lane...

Clearly her friend has never dealt with a medical situation before. He could have paralized her doing that. NEVER move a victim unless surronding conditions make it absolutly nessasary.

+1, Also never remove their helmet.

Hopefully the riders and the cager will learn from their mistakes.

+ another one the friend did everything wrong. Moving her around like that, bending her arms to get the backpack off. Undoing the jacket releasing compression possibily securing a fracture and releasing bodyheat promoting potential shock then the helmet. Glad she appears to be ok, bet she was some sore in the morning.

Am I the only one who was waiting for the porn music to start and those girls to start going at it....?

Completely rider error.
1. Failed to make the turn into the correct lane.
2. Failed to get up to speed (hence the reason why in the rider training course so much emphasis is put on the first 2 test exercises demonstrating ability to turn and negotiate the turn by accelerating up to speed)

Hope she ended up without serious injury!

It's a scary thing having your lady banged up on the side of the highway. Been there.

I took the helmet off my gf, there was just too much blood leaking from it, I had to see what was wrong.

I'm no expert but wouldn't the helmet act as a bandage and help stop the bleeding?

Sent from my iPhone. (not while I was riding)

I would think it could. It was very loose from being compressed/damaged from a hard impact. Was effortless to take it off. In all honesty, it was too loose to begin with....
