Hope no one is riding out today... huge rain storm

Was almost out the door until I saw the downpour. I don't mind riding in the rain sometimes, but sweating under rain gear + wet street car tracks everywhere downtown... some other time.

i just rode through that. i kept seeing clear spots but by the time id get there, it was pouring. either way, the only dry spot is where the sun dont shine. and even thats a maybe lol

I missed the rain. Left for Orillia (300 km round trip) at 7:30 am - not a drop of rain, but hotter than hell.

Me too, left for Northern Quebec around 6.30 am...
was about 25 then got hot up past Barrie - over 30
then dropped fast down and down now at 16 in Rouyn- Noranda -
Lot of layer changing but generally much fun - clear air up here -
Not supposed to rain until Monday in this area and then scattered.

Figured it might get nasty with the amount of heat. Glad to be out of it. Heat and the rain :D

Best all around bike I've owned. Fun in the twisties and lots of storage plus bullet proof design.

this Canadian review nailed it

I barely go anywhere compared to some of these guys :confused1:

http://www.burgmanusa.com/

One guy has 140k MILES on his and many are over 50k - it's fun and except for real dual sport terrain will go anywhere with protection comfort and fun. Can't say enough about the storage - it was 30 around Barrie and I'm facing 7 degrees tomorrow morning and gear for temp all with room left tho I'm slightly regretting not putting in one up level of rain jacket....took my light one and may wish I had the heavier one tomorrow am. What I have is comfie to 10.
Above 30 I just stuff the mesh under the seat and enjoy the breeze. Three compartments up front makes it easyto grab the camera, a drink and stick the gloves away when it gets warm. Well thought our intermediate tourer with a twisty's heart.
If you browse the forum you'll be surprised at the depth of experience and number of previous bikes the riders have and still keep coming back to the Burgman.

It's a tad heavy around town ( close to 600 lb ) but the weight is low.
The transmission is the magic. Roll and go and the big binders make it big time fun in twisties. Weight helps on the highway - good to about 180 - 150 easily - drinks gas above 130 - but 4k rpm at 110 is a sweet spot.
Tank is a bit too small at 15 litres for touring.

I just rode from east end Mississauga to northwest brampton fter seeing what was coming on the weather radar!

MacDoc

Interesting ride for sure, how many kilometers can you get out of the tank? Looks like an extremely comfy ride, I was looking at those pictures in the review you linked, great wind protection and comfy seating position.

Rode to the Forks today from Waterloo, zipped it a few times, chatted with friends, went home.
Not a drop of rain anywhere.

Yonge/Shepp to Port Hope, back to North York, downtown and back to Yonge/Shepp (****ing indecisive women). Got a little wet going through Oshawa. Otherwise good times :)

I was out squiding in a tshirt. drove right through the 4 blovks of 1-2 foot deep flood. smelt like creek... drove anyways. showered after. stupid ****** hipsters were just stalled in the water or prancing around not knowing what to do. I hope there's a zombie outbreak to thin the heard soon.

200k on the tank at hard riding - ( 15 l ) or 240 if nursed.
Seat on the stock unit leaves something to be desired for many including me.
nippy morning - 12.5 C according to the bike readout - gonna be glad of the upfront protection - thik I'll laze in bed for a while. :D
