Of all the bikes out there, I would bust open the bank if a good deal came along on one of these.

I really really want one, for the family room display.

I have a friend with a RC30, RC45 and RVF 400. Yes, all three. He hasn't updated his page in a while, since then he has a S1000RR and added the RVF.

He's had some issues with the RC30, though.
 
This year I'll give him a ride on the RSV4, see what he thinks of that. I'm betting it will be love.

Like me, he doesn't like the S1000RR much. He takes it to the track and that's about all now, it just isn't very exciting. Actually he was going to sell it, I'll have to ask him if he did.
 
Saw an RC30 for sale for 5400$ by a dealer a few months ago. It is also my dream bike. For now I'll stick with my rusty FZR400 :cool:

I know you race and you love your rsv (can't blame you they are awesome) but if something like a 180 hp or whatever the bmw is, isn't exciting then maybe it's just you? The minor differences any of those caliber bikes have between them wouldn't be even a consideration to about 99% of the population who would buy one. Looks wise the bmw beats them all to me too :agave:


Back to the topic, my friend had one of these when we were younger. Love them just as much as the rc bike. After these generations, honda died to me :D

No, many people comment on the same thing. It's a utility for going fast, kind of like recent GSX-Rs. There isn't much character. On the street you can't use 100hp often much less the rest of it, so character, in my opinion, matters. His too... or he wouldn't own the bikes he does. For instance he rides mostly a VFR 750 these days - he can clearly afford a newer version but the newer ones just don't have the character he wanted.
