Honda CRF250L vs Yamaha WR250R?

"I'm thinking the WR is the bike."

But that Husky........same money........Maybe you should go have another look at it.

Just kidding. The Yamaha is definitely the better choice from a maintenance/ everyday use point of view, and is more than capable for enthusiastic off road use.
But still.....that Husky is red & black....... Maybe I should go have another look at it.

Still kidding. Either will be fun to ride, one will be easier to own.

I put an order in for a CRF250L last week. I'll post about it when I get it in April :)

Yes they do...that's how I came across the 250te..very nice bike...I guess what's really holding me back is...do I want a 2011 te for the same price as a 2013 WR?
The question regarding dealer network for Husky..doesn't seem that strong...could be gone tomorrow. That's not an issue with Yamaha.
I'm thinking the WR is the bike.

The Husky would kill the WR offroad. But at a price. Stay away from the Husky if you want to do any amount of road travel. Over 100hrs on the topend is living on borrowed time. Getting parts can also be tricky and $$$. A friend of mine was down a bike for half the riding season last year because of a 2 stroke piston. That's ridiculous.

Sounds like the WR would be a good bike for what you want to do with it. A little heavy for the Ganny singletrack but more than capable. You can always pick up a cheap dirtbike for Ganny duty to save the beatings on the WR anyway.

The comparison is interesting, he bought the WRR for himself and the honda for the wife. The thread dissolves quickly into a whining session. He basically say both are good just the Honda is a little slower in the dirt.
