Home Insurance

2 up'n? That rear jumpseat looks painfully uncomfortable. But it does have a handy beer cooler.

I'm not sure which one of you is youngest, but the elder should be 'guiding' that thing.
Oh - and the backrest needs a new home while you both slide that baby through the corners, with beers in hand.

I'm with TD for home insurance in Ontario. Was about $400/yr I believe. Also have them for my car and 250cc scooter in Alberta. Seems I'm not the only one that gets good rate despite having 2 speeding tickets. $500/year for the car and $79/year for the scooter. Wonder what my rate be if I was clean?

One thing to note is I've heard TD's customer service is terrible when you get in an accident or need to claim insurance. Guess that's the price to pay for low coverage but I haven't had to use it yet so I can't confirm this.

My mom head a collision and they took care of stuff quickfast... Thats the closest thing I have to personal experience with them.

I'm paying ~800 right now with the coop I'm insured through and TD quoted me about $20 less. State farm was the same... I guess us farmers can't catch a break...

TD it is.

Called them to confirm the rate. Total is $411 including tax.

includes
-replacement cost of the house
-sewer back up.
-personal contents
-million liability

As I stated earlier, my old insurer quoted $1100 for the same policy.

Other benefits :

-TD, I get a live person on the phone within minutes to ask any questions every single time I called. My old insurer (and they are a large company as well), would never answer her damn phone, and would always send me an email back hours later. I'd rather deal with a live persons and ask questions.

-TD did the "questionaire" over the phone regarding my property. My old insurer faxed me the document, made me fill it out, and bother faxing it back.

-My old insurers deductible for this policy was $1000. TD's is $500

TD hooked me up in minutes after paying by CC over the phone and my policy takes effect immediately. They emailed me my policy within seconds, and said I would get printed documents in the mail within a few days.

THIS IS SERVICE, PEOPLE! THANKS TD!

You made a good move going with TD. My home insurance went from 800+ to sub 400 by making the switch to TD. I also got a nice break by moving my car and bike policies to them as well.
