That doesn't sound too threatening so no, I wouldn't use force against her.

What about if she nearly knocks you out? Are you going to say "Please ma'am, may I have some more" or are you going to try and stop her?

What does being a wuss or a being a man have to do with it? Fact: Some women can beat up some men, always been that way. Some of them initiate fights, and more and more of them do. It doesn't help you to believe they should be in the kitchen when they're coming at you with some kickboxing move, you have to act.

BTW, the bus driver didn't have the option of just walking away.

If your woman is beating on you...best to leave and go to the gym. Don't mess with or pick fights if you can't defend yourself...holy crap that's hard.
Bus driver should have should have stopped the bus got off, kept quiet and called 911.
Not saying it wasn't a nice upper cut and a nice shut up shot. But no way I'd deliver it for anything she did. Ya it's all about bein a man...and if your daddy ain't teached ya...I'm sorry.
 
You guys are missing some key components. Before the physical fight they were verbally trash talking about the others families and loved ones. All forms of reason go out the window when that happens...
Then when the girl hit the bus driver, she opened up a can of worms.

Looks like that bus was still moving when she originally hit the driver... A bus full of innocent people, plus those oncoming cars were all in danger because of her...
I'm sure the bus driver feels some form of responsibility for his passengers. Sure, he could have walked off the bus... Then what?

Sorry to say, she got what she deserved. She should have stayed off the damn bus after the first time he threw her off it.

I've talked here before about women beaters, and I grew up in a home witnessing just that so you know I'm absolutely totally against it... But some times, they are just asking for it, and she sure was.

I doubt I would have hit her like that, but it would have deffinately gotten physical if I was in his shoes.

You keep saying it takes a real man to just walk away. Really? What's your definition of a real man? Someone who walks away when someone is verbally and physically assaulting them? I wouldn't consider that a real man. You'd consider someone who'd hit a woman under ANY circumstance a wimp. I consider a man who wouldn't stand up for himself the real wimp.

A real man is someone who does the right thing. Someone who doesn't let sex, age, sexuality, nationality, etc decide what they do. A real man will hit anyone if it's the only possible solution; if they don't they're a pussy.

For the record: I don't condone violence unless it's the only option. I would much rather just walk away, but if I can't a good left jab, right jab, left hook to the jaw should do the trick. And in this case, as mentioned by others, the bus driver couldn't just walk off the bus and the girl attacked him while the bus was in motion.

You said it right..."A real man is someone who does the right thing." And hitting a female who just pushed your buttons is not the right thing...unbelievable the mentality and justification some of you have to lay a beating on a woman/girl.

I also said I don't condone violence unless it's the only option. I'd much rather see someone walk (away from both men AND women, not just women) than hit them; but if violence is the only way to solve it go right ahead.

Question: would you hit a woman who held you at knife point trying to rob you? Or a woman who is doing that to someone else, and you happen to come upon it? For the sake of this question: hitting means any form of physical contact (including restraining.)

Been watchin too many movies dude.... but ok when a woman has that knife pointed at you...like this happens often...you have my permission to disarm her. She's probably just a crack addicit and Boo! would suffice but you go ahead and do your thing...lol.

And now, if you're driving a bus with innocent people on you. And some girl comes up and starts punching you, WHILE STILL DRIVING. Will you just continue driving and let her hit you, possibly causing an accident, or would you stop and kick her out?
I do agree the uppercut was a little too much, but she did go after him again once he got off of the seat. So he did have to issue physical contact, and considering how hard of a time he had trying to toss her out I don't think he would of been able to restrain her at all.
I also think people on the bus should of intervened during the verbal confrontation, before she had a chance to hit the bus driver, or after she did. But that's just personal opinion. It's also a great example of the bystander effect (the more people nearby, the less likely someone is to take action. Because "Oh, there are 100 people here; someone else will jump in and help so I don't have to.")

He could have easily restrained her without that epic uppercut. Just because someone is talking **** and pushing you doesn't mean you go ape **** on them, whether its a man or woman.

I agree, the guys SHOULD NOT have punched the woman. He should have asked her to get off the bus. If she refused, call the police. Both of them had no respect.

And I will say this over and over since when is it ok for women to not behave like a lady....fu*&ing trash

She could have still kicked him in the nuts or went for an eye-poke.. Once she decided to escalate to the physical level and assault him while he had lives of his passengers in his hands, she got what she was askin' for. Would I have reacted like that? Most likely not (can't say for sure as I've never been in that sort of a situation)... However, I understand what he did the way he did it. Once you get hit by anyone, you don't pussy around. You hit back hard and keep hitting until the fight's out of the other person/people.

Not sure about the rules as it's pretty gray in that incident, but definitely the social norms. Back in high school, some girl tried to get a rise out of me by slapping me in the back.. Repeatedly.. After a few times, I've had enough and reciprocated with the same strike, same intensity. She didn't expect that... People talked about it for years lol
