I'm trying to wrap my head around this too.

Hopefully the Palestinians will see Israel get their just desserts.
 
UK, who F'ed the whole region obstained too eh?

Canada has lost all moral leadership and will sell out to he highest / only tar-sands bidder. The US shunned us and now like a jilted lover we are headed to China on the rebound / eastward pipeline.

Its one thing to abstain but a completely different story to actually vote no as Canada did. I just see no logic in trying to deny them other then to pamper to US/Israel.
 
This is embarrassing for us Canadians but on a good note, Israel will have to curtail its ethnic cleansing practices a bit or spend more $$$ sweeping things under the rug.

^^^ some people are disconnected from other human suffering. Sometimes they don't realize why something like this is significant because they don't really view the hardships of others as worthy of their attention as say, an NHL lockout.

Why don't you provide some examples of this? Please post links from FOX news since that's where you must be getting this "information".

Your country is supposed to represent you and appropriate your taxes in a way that represents you. It is one thing if they do not agree with you on technical municipal matters and another when they conflict with you on deeply profound human rights issues.

It is also another thing when your country once had a sense of pride and honour about being known and respected as unbiased and fair, and that having been reversed.

You may also want to brush up on your knowledge of Canadian support for Israel and the basic history of the region going back much further than the propagated 1948 starting point. Go right the way back to Zionism's birth in Russia and remember to spend some time at the Belfour Decleration and motives for WW1.

Come to think of it, Canada may not have been all that respectable.....maybe it was only Trudeau who was the honourable factor / catalyst in all this!

Im not embarassed that Canada voted no.. Im not a fan of Israel either. I think the world would be a better place if the whole place got nuked. and rendered the land uninhabitable.

not meaning to kill everyone, just give each people a little part of the world, as far apart as possible. Why dont he give them greenland, and they can spilt it.
