Protective clothing
The motorcycling community is safety conscious and the riders have purchased protective clothing worth hundreds of millions of Euro. In principle, FEMA supports the voluntary use of protective clothing, but two major concerns must be taken into account, namely comfort and cost.
FEMA recognises that the use of protective jackets, trousers, gloves and boots is uncomfortable to the extent of being unsafe when weather gets really hot - the explanation why not even the motorcycle police officers in southern parts of Europe, riding officially marked police motorcycles, are using protective clothing!
I ride with my HID highbeams all day erryday, in my halogen housing too!
For me, hi beam on during the day and thumb ready to blip the stebel. If I need to flash then I'll toggle hi on/off. I know it offends some people but I'd rather you ****** off and annoyed at me (I get that) but that means its served its purpose by getting you to acknowledge my existence. Having said that riding on the freeway, in groups and at night hi beam off but thumb still locked and loaded.
I'm sorry but that post fills me with rage.

why does some one riding with high beams irritate you guys so much?
because it is agaisnt the law?
all of us break traffic laws ALL the time. going over speed limit, coming to a rolling stop at the stop sign instead of a full stop, rushing thru amber traffic light when we could have stopped.. etc etc
live and let live and stop hating.
i noticed a biker on kingston road today a mile away above the cars because he had his hi beams on. you cannot dispute the fact that it catches you attention. even the flashing modulators
that i saw YES they catch my attention. so they work
even if it didnt work .. so what? the rider had a single light and feels better with it on. leave it be
