Hi everyone,

I am a new female rider that has aqcuired a rare '87 Suzuki Gamma RG 250. I have a few things to get fixed before I can get the safety and will hopefully have it on the road in the next couple of weeks. Fingers crossed!

The front fairing is damaged and impossible to find a replacement! Anyone know of any good shops in or near Brampton that can do an excellent repair job, quick and reasonably priced?!

Looking forward to hearing from fellow Brampton riders!

Cheers!

Nice choice of ride - welcome!

Welcome & excellent choice of a bike...I have always like those little 250's

Hey there, welcome! I'm a new female rider as well. I just got my bike today! It's an '87 Yamaha Virago. Good luck and rude safe. :-)

Thank you and congrats on getting your bike today! I can't wait to get mine on the road!
Ride safe.:)

welcome

No markopas. I am very new to the motorcycle world, so thanks for the tip! I work down that way so I will have to check it out for sure! Thanks! I am thinking I will learn an awful lot about bikes pretty quickly with this one...

You lucky girl - trying to get any nice two stroke from that period is hard (outside of the RZ 350) any pics?

Welcome TheGiRL13 !
Parts for that model may be difficult to find, but keep looking, someone has them. I had a Yamaha TZR250 - it ripped and was tons of fun (kinda wish i still had it actually...)
Try looking on this site - ues its tools and posts to find what you may need, check the dealers/vendors section, the top two "sticky" posts list toronto/gta dealers and salvage dealers. Most likely a bike salvage yard will be the best bet for now, I'd suggest starting there by giving them a call.
If you listed the items needed on a post here you may find others that can help in locating them or maybe have them...who knows.

Good luck, have fun and stay safe !!

Congrats on the new ride. Great bike. I've had mine since 1997.
Judging from your other posts, looks like you've got yours on the road.

Finding parts locally might be a bit of a challenge, but not impossible. I picked up a full running bike with a crashed front end in Orangeville for next to nothing.
Depending on what it is you need, you'll have better luck chasing down parts from the UK or Japan. You can still probably pick up some engine spares from you local suzuki dealer. But it's best to know the part number before you go in. http://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-rg250-1987-ch_model13995/partslist/

Pictures would be great.

I didn't buy it. I acquired it from a friend for the time being since I couldn't afford the bike I want this year. :)

I have been on the road for about a month now. Still going to ride for as long as I can this season . Just have to bundle up :D

Just make sure you ride the piss out of it, especially in the high rev range and because it's a 2-stroke expect to do frequent maintenance work on it as well but don't fear this bike will definitely will be a learning curve so don't feel bad in asking lots of questions there will be lots of people on here who can help.

Welcome! Nice RG,my friend has the same one unless this is the same bike.. Keep the tranny oil fresh I change it annually, also use Klotz Flex 30 gear oil which is designed for 2 stroke engines.
