Hey Valentino!

If i was him id be getting my agent to go after any honda or yamaha bike he can get...which at best will be a satellite. He is rich and doesn't need the 15 million a season to ride, I'm sure he would much rather just be on a competitive bike now. I read that there is a rumour that coca cola is teaming with Yamaha to make a satellite team and Rossi is being eyed to ride for them, hopefully this turns out to be true...if he doesn't shoot himself by the end of the season.

why cant ducati make it work?

As I understand it..the engine configuration is not conducive to the most effective weight distribution. And there is apparently a lack of front-end feel..which is what suits Rossi the most. Hayden is able to ride around it more apparently...

Probably a money issue.Yamaha and Honda have bigger wallets i think.

Yeah, that's probably part of it. They're sticking with the 90 degree engine..marketing? Cheaper to build, less new tooling? Dunno. I think the satellite guys are running the old chassis and engine layour. Apparently they reversed the engine 180 degrees to make changing the centre of gravity easier but it's not enough apparently..

Im not a 100% sure, but I don't think the MotoGP riders made much money at all. This is in comparison to Formula 1, or even Nascar. I wouldn't be surprised if the brought in a little over a million or 2 a year even with sponsors.

Now, think back to how people reacted when Biaggi used to rag on his team like that after a poor performance.

15 million over 9 million, he got greedy and it bit him in the ***. I hope he can get back with them, prove if he still has it or not...which i think he does. At rossi's peak i think he was making somewhere around 30 million a year.

I don't know if it's all about the money for him. I think he was probably looking for a challenge..I mean, he's won an awful lot. I think he just can't get Ducati doing what he thinks needs to be done. The 90 degree engine is nice from some viewpoints..but for packaging it's not. Jeremy Burgess says it's not really an issue..but I have to wonder..I think it's more dogmatic because of their twins and maintaining that lineage. In any event, he seems unhappy..

I agree with you, think he was going for a repeat of what he did with the Yamaha when no one could win on it. The Ducati just doesn't seem to suit him at all. Nicky is doing better with it, but like Rossi said after the race 6th isn't really the result you want when you're use to winning. I think Nicky would be more vocal about the Ducatis flaws but he also wants to keep his spot on a factory team so he's playing nice for now.

He has access to, at the very least, all the same parts, settings and support that Hayden has yet Hayden was ahead of him all weekend. Rossi was immediately faster after copying Hayden's settings but couldn't keep it together in the race.

If it was anybody else there wouldn't be any debate over the issue. That being said, I don't think he's washed up.

would be cool is rossi can come on top again. if lorenzo, pedrosa, and stoner keep doing top 3 every race this season would be boring lol
