Yeah you're right. Come to think about it its actually kind of exciting doing this on my own, and with friends it should be a fun drive.
Just make sure you strap the bike down properly and drive at legal speeds to be safe.
look up how to strap it down properly, and if you're putting it in the back of the truck with no chock make sure you brace the back of the box (where it meets the cab) so that there is no give. if you don't what will seem like a tight tie down can shift and your nice shiny bike may not be shiny anymore or you may need a couple parts.
