Help request, Bike will not start

I have a GS500F that recently had a servicing, everything checked out then.

The next morning, it started up just fine and got me to work.

After work however, it would not start from the starter switch, but I could bump start it just fine.

Thinking I'd left the parking light on, I drove it home and put it on the charger overnight.

Tried starting it, I got nothing. Lights work fine, dash works, main fuse is good, battery pulled and stress tested at Crappy Tire, it checks out.

when I push the starter, the headlight shuts off, and I hear nothing (not even the relay clicking) what should I try looking at next?

Please don't say the kill switch, or the stand sensor, it's not the kill switch, and I'm starting it in Neutral.

Any ideas appreciated.

I know you said not to mention it but the stand sensor can stick so even with the stand up and in neutral it won't start.
 
Oopsie...missed that. Sorry. With the headlights going out with the starter being pressed it seems like a battery issue despite what crappy tire says. When my battery died my gauges worked and headlight worked but there wasn't enough power to start the bike and the light dimmed when pressing the starter too. Mine was an EX500 at the time so comparable to yours.
 
I am not familiar with your bike , but here is what I would do,
Get a booster cable and hook it up to a ENGINE NOT RUNNING car.
See if your bike starts, if it does then you know your problem is with the MC battery or its connections.
If it still will not start then its something else.
 
OK, I'll play along, if that were the issue, why would it run if bump started, but not e-started?

I had an older bike that the side stand switch would only cut out the starter. So when it went out, you could bump start no problem, but the starter would not operate.
 
It is a Suzuki and my bet is the clutch switch, Suzuki's need the clutch switch to start even in neutral. Take the 2 wires from the clutch switch and join them together I would almost guarantee this is it.
 
Make sure your turn signal relay is plugged on properly. I had this exact symptoms when I unhooked the relay.
 
use a screw driver and jump the two posts on the solenoid, if the engine turns over and starts, with the key on and you don't get a click at the soleniod by pushing the button, you need to check the wires comming from the button to the solenoid, you may need a new solenoid. check the amp draw of the starter, shouldn't be over 100 amps.
