Don't know about attaching something like that to my helmet... think it would be too easy to catch on the street and break your neck in case of an accident.
Kind of a neat effect though!

Here's a link to a guy on a sportbike at a track:

Price is 299 euros. $400ish + Shipping.
Needs 2 GoPros (or 1 and a similar counterweight).

Material not included in the box but necessary to RotoR functionality:
- 1 curved adhesive plate suitable for mod. n. AACRV-001 helmets
- 1 sliding hook mod. AGBAG-001
- 2 tubolar stands mod. n. GRH30
- 2 GoPro movie cameras (any model)

Basically, all you're getting is the aluminum bar and swivel/clutch.

Can't wait to see some idiot wearing that rig on the street.

Now the most boring stoplight-to-stoplight motorcycle videos will come with an even better camera angle!

I saw this a while ago and it does look pretty cool until I realized all you're looking at is yourself, not where you are going. It would be fun once or twice, but not any more than that.

Somebody could probably rent one out at track days and make a killing, but it needs to be double sided taped to the helmet.

It must be very distracting having the camera bob up and down in front of your face.

Yeah, I saw that with MCN's 1199 test video. I immediately thought how cool the angle was but once I saw how the rig looked I immediately wrote it off.

Dangerous and stupid looking. I get enough attention with the GoPro just mounted to my helmet.

I presume this rig is more for motorcycle reviewers and filmmakers and such.

If you mount a second camera you can see where you're going.

Only the motorcycle video shows it not spinning. Not certain how they did that or if you can lock it in place or the wind just held it there, but the other videos for skiing and biking show the whole thing spinning around the wearer. If you mount the camera facing outward you'll just see the surrounding landscape spinning around you. If you do lock it in place and point it forward it's nothing more than a somewhat steady cam.

You mount both cameras facing you.

Video looks great, but I don't want to be so vain that I need 2 cameras on me at all times.

It still spins. If you lock it in place it's a little more interesting seeing the back of you with most of where you are going, but still, I can't imagine many people wanting to watch the back of themselves ride all of the time. The novelty of seeing yourself during normal riding would wear off quickly.

Here's the video in case anyone else is interested:

I thought the exact same thing. At first the idea was very intriguing, but then realized at just how ridiculous it would be on the road.
