Heinous Increase with Jevco!

hi, i did a quote online with jevco, the quote seems pretty reasonable, at the end of the quote, they gave me a contact number to respond too, just wanna follow up with it and see

but wondering, if any of you guys know a specific person to deal with, preferably someone in the gta area. that you'd recommend

thanks

I got a great call today. My broker was nice enough to call me and let me know that JEVCO has decided to blacklist my bike. So my $1000 a year for the SF1098 is now $4000!
What a F**king joke. So I immediately cancelled the policy and am now going to have to search for another company. I bought the bike because of the "great rate" through JEVCO.
Broker and JEVCO will never get my business again.

FYI, the broker has no control over this matter. It's the Jevco head office that made this decision. I'm surprised that the 1098 wasn't blacklisted before.

Get a quote with State Farm and TD/Meloche.

The broker should have known about the bike don't you think? I've been riding it for a month thinking it was only going to cost me $1000. They call a month later and ask for another $3000! So sorry we made a mistake? Thats bulls**t.

I tried TD apparently my work even gets a deal through them and I did both bikes and was quoted $6300 for the year (as opposed to $1800, I thought I was getting) They said they won't insure either bike with theft and fire unless it has an alarm. WTF
Both bikes have immobilizes but apparently that not enough.

So I called Rider Plus and they gave me a decent quote, say I'll go with it, they send me the paperwork and it's with JEVCO! Ughhh. So I emailed the guy back to ask and make sure they are using the correct rates.

Big fn hassle. I can't believe im having this kind of trouble at age34.

Interestingly, I insured an 04' GS500F for my first year of riding last year @ $4600/yr (ridiculous, i know)...however I did have 4 Speeding tickets and an accident 5 years ago...I managed to get one more ticket within the last year and my renewal with Jevco came in $2000 cheaper - $2500 for this year. Honestly I feel terrible for you guys that are getting ridiculous rates like that with pristine records. **** is retarded.

Oh, I misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you've been insured with the 1098 with Jevco for a couple years now, and they just now told you that it's blacklisted. I completely agree -- the broker should have known this was a blacklisted bike before they gave you the rate.

TD is charging a 34yo $6300 on a sport bike? That doesn't seem right. Did you actually call them, or are you relying on their online quoting? If you just did an online quote, I suggest you call them instead.

What did State Farm quote you? If you've had your car license for a while, I would think that SF should come close to the $1800 (or maybe even beat it).

You might want to consider slowing down . . . :p
