2004 Hayabusa - 1,234,567 km ????

I am posting this because I recently (today) got hit on my bike. I was travelling to Niagara Falls for a quick visit & I was struck from behind by a pick-up truck. I was minding my own business in my lane, but apparently, a bright red Hayabusa with a full Brock's exhaust wasn't noticeable enough. Anyway, I walked away & even road the bike BACK to London from St. Catherines.

On-to the bike: Unfortunately, there is a lot of cosmetic damage now because of the accident. However, I'm not entirely convinced there is any mechanical damage whatsoever. There was nothing leaking, and the bike rides perfectly straight, I even got on the throttle a bit on the way home & it rides the same. However, the clutch lever is broken in half, the shifter lever is stiff when you down-shift. Upshifts are still the same.

Let's talk about the mods. This BIG BORE Busa is pretty insane for a Gen1. It has a big bore kit, cams, headers are ported, high compression, quick shifter, PC5, and dyno module. It HAD ceramic bearings in the front & back, but I did change out the front bearing a month ago for a standard one.

The tires are Dunlop RoadSmart 4s. Tons & tons of life left. The brakes & rotors are GOOD. I've bled both brakes & clutch. New coolant as of this year. Oil changes every 4,000KM - it's technically due for one now & I would be happy to do it for the new buyer.

Just to be clear, this is not a bike to just put around town. It was built to race - period. She runs hot.

So he got rear ended - no accident or insurance report filed ? Why not ?
Either this is some kind of scam (?) or he was riding dirty. Either way it smells funny.

How did you go from wanting a cbr125 to owning a Busa.

It is a weird ad.

It might be possible that they had insurance for a regular 2004 Hayabusa, but didn't want to file a claim because the bike they claim to have is not a regular 2004 Hayabusa. I'm not gonna be the first to engage them lol

Can’t file an insurance claim if you’re riding without insurance…

Something smells with that ad 100%. Just not sure what…

Somewhere is some young lad , about to go off in his pants , thinking about buying a busa . That ad will appeal to a certain sector . Lots of mods and pre crashed , what’s not to love .

He's also selling a Saturn that he recently bought. It has alberta plates and a blue busa in the background of the pics. All sorts of red flags but garage doors are the same in both sets of pics (and you can see the saturn in one of pics of the red bike). Not blinking red light level, but definitely caution warranted. No price for busa. I suspect he still values it highly.
