2004 Hayabusa - 1,234,567 km ????
I am posting this because I recently (today) got hit on my bike. I was travelling to Niagara Falls for a quick visit & I was struck from behind by a pick-up truck. I was minding my own business in my lane, but apparently, a bright red Hayabusa with a full Brock's exhaust wasn't noticeable enough. Anyway, I walked away & even road the bike BACK to London from St. Catherines.
On-to the bike: Unfortunately, there is a lot of cosmetic damage now because of the accident. However, I'm not entirely convinced there is any mechanical damage whatsoever. There was nothing leaking, and the bike rides perfectly straight, I even got on the throttle a bit on the way home & it rides the same. However, the clutch lever is broken in half, the shifter lever is stiff when you down-shift. Upshifts are still the same.
Let's talk about the mods. This BIG BORE Busa is pretty insane for a Gen1. It has a big bore kit, cams, headers are ported, high compression, quick shifter, PC5, and dyno module. It HAD ceramic bearings in the front & back, but I did change out the front bearing a month ago for a standard one.
The tires are Dunlop RoadSmart 4s. Tons & tons of life left. The brakes & rotors are GOOD. I've bled both brakes & clutch. New coolant as of this year. Oil changes every 4,000KM - it's technically due for one now & I would be happy to do it for the new buyer.
Just to be clear, this is not a bike to just put around town. It was built to race - period. She runs hot.
