Hayabusa Question?

That's good it's getting sorted out. I'm not against ABS at all, I just didn't feel like waiting months or paying a ton more than my leftover 2012 cost.

Well - they made it right. Picked it up this afternoon.
Classic / pucker moment on the way home.
I trailered it back.
407, cruising along with the cruise set at about 128 kph (gps & speedo read exact) in the fast lane. All of a sudden, out of 'nowhere', OPP stealth pulls up beside me. Caught my attention. He waited until I made eye contact, gave me a "thumbs up" and took off at Appleby Line.

If you're reading this Mr. Stealth OPP, thanks.

Congrats on the Busa. I just bought our third Busa for my wife about 2 months ago. When we bought it there was no discussion of the cowl or the seat, we showed up to pick it up and the cowl was on it and the seat and rail were handed to us. However the tank prop (steal rod to hold the tank up) is an item that has to be ordered separately. We purchased ours from Inglis in London and had great service. Give them a call and ask them.
As for the 2012 being a lot cheaper, not so much. We looked at a number of 2012's versus 2013's and found the average difference to be about $500 on both sides of the border. The rest was a no brainer, $500 for brembo's. Sold!

Confirmed.
Just off the phone with Suzuki of Canada.
The hump is an OPTION on the 2013. For those that need one, send Tyler a PM @ Two Wheel.
For **** sake - a Hayabusa is just 'wrong' with the 2 up seat, unless (the proper) "she" is sitting on it.

Thanks. I think you lucked out. I confirmed the sad news over the phone & with an email. Here it is:

I agree with you Gary that the bike the hump just completes the look of the bike. Only reason mine isn't on is if i need to strap something to the back seat or my wife is with me.

I think it is short sighted of Suzuki to not offer this part which obviously has less then a $200 cost to them (probably less then $100) where it could cause a buyer to purchase something else based on aesthetics. Add this same issue happening with the gixxers and their marketing people are making some great decisions

The reality is, once past the performance, not everyone thinks that a Hayabusa is a good looking bike. It is not the "art" that some of the Euro/Italian offerings are, so why challenge the looks further

Hey Gary, I hear your break-in was "leisurely"

Have you sold the Busa and in the process of picking up the Panigale yet? LOL!

They do it with the gsxr too and they only charge a modest $175ish for the piece of plastic

That really IS cheap.

- Considering the fact that a cowl for my bike 1000CCs lesser costs $195 +tax !

Hey Gary, now I see which thread you referred to when you said I missed the thread about the new Busa :) Congrats again, bud! Hope to see you next week.
