Hayabusa Question?

Tnx y'all.

S - you won't want to see the Corvette. You already hate it ;) (delivery backed up until end of March, or April atm)

-D- : Love the meter!! The end of the "race" to buy a bike was so close, I had to call the instant replay booth!!

Another 60 +yr old at Shannonville racing last weekend.

nice

Congrats on the Busa Gary, and yes age is just a number. McGuinness is still racing and winning Isle of Man at 41 when MotoGP riders wouldn't even attempt that in their 20's; probably a good idea too lol.

Congrats on the Busa (Again) , What was the runner up? I recall the K 1300s did not make the cut but what about the Multistrada? almost covered the range of the bikes on your list.

Hands down - the Panigale "S". It lost by a whisker at the wire ;)
If I decided to have two bikes, that would absolutely be the second one.

Guys in the states are getting them on their 2013s, not sure if any difference in Canada. I've only seen 1 at a dealer, and I can't recall if it had the hump or not.

Confirmed.
Just off the phone with Suzuki of Canada.
The hump is an OPTION on the 2013. For those that need one, send Tyler a PM @ Two Wheel.
For **** sake - a Hayabusa is just 'wrong' with the 2 up seat, unless (the proper) "she" is sitting on it.

Jeez, that's a real cheap out. Hard times I guess.

Cheaper than a girlfriend I guess.:lovestory:
They do it with the gsxr too and they only charge a modest $175ish for the piece of plastic

Only two bikes come with the plastic 2 up cowl. M109R & the GSX-R1000 Anniversary Edition.

Send Tyler at Two Wheel a PM. I've already ordered one.............BUT - I got no ****ing bike.
Went to pick it up, as promised, and they can't release it due to an ABS recall issue.
Will be ready for pickup "whenever". **** me - I knew I should have bought the Panigale. It WOULD have been ready today.

Abs?? You don't need it :)

congrats on the new bike, Gary!
(when it arrives) hehehehe.

it'll be good to rip up some back roads with you again when i have time (i'll try to keep up)

Ya' - really, eh ? Who needs directional control during a panic stop ! Who cares if your gyroscopes stop spinning at 80 kph and your scooter slides out from underneath you - you're wearing leathers - you can probably slide safely, for a little while.

Not only don't need, but don't want. Hard to find a bike without ABS. At least the Panigale has an adjustable ABS system, which I believe can be shut right off.

congrats on the new bike, Gary!

LOL......sure Bob. You should consider smoking, so you'd have something to do while you wait for me!!

I'm considering "buyer's remorse" on this purchase if it's not ready today. Buggers dragged me in the office to pay in full, as if the bike was ready, (which it was when I called at 1pm) then he called the service mgr in to tell me about the recall problem. That was after battling traffic with the truck & trailer to get there. If I get out of this bs, I will buy a Ducati.
I'm starting to understand all the others who posted negative feedback about SON (I bought it at 407 & Yonge - same owner). My 5th purchase there, and they finally left a sour taste in my yak.

That's a crappy deal, this recall has been known for months, should have been no surprise. There were guys on Hayabusa.org waiting for their 2013 bikes for quite a while, the ABS module is used by quite a few bikes, Honda included, and is in high demand.

I'm not sure if it was a stroke of luck, or not, but there was 1 module in Ontario. The service mgr went and picked it up late yesterday.
Only 59 GSX1300RA's were sent to Canada with the problem.
Wish my luck playing the 649 was as good!!

The sad part about this recall is: the module may not work, so the bike would have ordinary brakes..........you know........like the brakes we've all got accustomed to using since our riding / driving days started.
I've never had ABS come on during any demo rides I've been on, and never owned a bike that has it. Not looking forward to it, but it is what it is.
ABS is standard equipment on all the bikes I considered buying.

That's good it's getting sorted out. I'm not against ABS at all, I just didn't feel like waiting months or paying a ton more than my leftover 2012 cost.
