have you guys see how to catch a predator?

I don't care if a girl says she is 15 I'm not touching her. Even if you think she looks 25 you are stupid to try to F her.

^^^This.

Human beings are not dogs. So I think the crude analogy made that a 15 year old girl enticing a man on chat is like giving a steak to a dog and telling him not to eat it fails to give consideration to the fact that people, unlike animals, are accountable to society for their behaviour.

I'm not sympathetic to any "poor guy" situation he might be in, I don't care if the guy hasn't had sex for 20 years and is a 40 year old virgin, is depressed, suicidal, whatever... if he knows she's under age then there's no excuse, irrespective of how she looks, who she's pretending to be, or how old she appears to be. He deserves whatever consequences come to him as a result of his actions in that situation.

I agree. I'm actually pretty shocked to hear grown men claiming it is okay to bang a minor if they asked for it. That is why they are minors. They are not considered mature enough to make those types of decisions for themselves. Unbelievable! People need to take responsibility for their actions. I'd be curious to hear if these same guys believe in date rape

So do u have any gripe about a show that entrap people?

Sent from my tablet using my paws

Funny show but there was one time I actually read some of the chat logs online from when one of the "pedos" was baited in and there is a bit of entrapment going on.

Basically this is what I saw:

-Lonely dude enters chat room, starts taking to a "15 year old girl"
-"15 year old girl" initiates sexually charged conversations, sends the dude sexy pics (which were really pics of a 24 year old) and offers to meet
-Dude is hesitant but the "15 year old" insists it's ok and she wants to meet and likes older man
-Dude shows up, is busted and is called a pedo

......kind of ruined the show for me to be honest. I'm sure at least some of the guys are legit pedos and it makes for good TV but some of these guys probably aren't as guilty as the show makes them appear and I'm sure their lives are ruined after.

I've never seen it but something about that show strikes me as off. All of these "pedophiles" would have to sign a release for their faces to be shown on TV, same as COPS. Being on the show is something that would obviously run their lives, what incentive would they have to be on the show?

I would not be surprised if they let them off easy for agreeing to be on the show, sign this you will be on TV and get a slap on the wrist... Do not know for sure but there has to be something in it for them.

What if the cops setup an operation where there is 100 undercover cops driving down the 401 at 135 km/h. You speed up to this speed to keep up with traffic. The cops than pull you over and charge you with speeding. Would this be ok? You were speeding, you know the law, I guess you "deserve whatever consequences come to you as a result of your actions in that situation"?

I don't watch it so I don't know, are these people actually charged with a crime? Technically they haven't actually commited any crime, and whatever they could be charged with for intention to commit a crime is still entrapment.

Pretty sure there is some laws against coercing minors into sexual activities even if no actual sexual activities take place yet. I know I've read about dudes being charged with things like "Invitation to sexual touching" etc. I'm guessing entrapment could be a defense though if there was entrapment, hence that other chat log that was posted the cops didn't use entrapment and let the guy initiate everything himself.

I'll agree the show does it in a sneaky way but these low lives deserve it.

This really hits home for me as my cousin's daughter was molested by another cousin's ex-husband. Let them rot in jail

If he knew her age and continued to pursue her sexually that is not entrapment, it's predatory on his part. She is a minor, minor's are not held accountable for their behaviour to the same degree as adults, that is why they are minors. I.e. it is not illegal for her, but it is for him.

Understood, but I guess I was posting after checking the perverted justice site. Graphic and long, but this was in their top 10 catches: http://perverted-justice.com/?archive=fleet_captain_jaime_wolfe. Stomach churning.

Apart from the whole fact that the girl is 13, I've had similar conversations with consenting adults. It brought back some fond memories.

And I can tell you, that guy is not a real Master. He is so uncertain of himself, repeating multiple things... the way he words his sentences leads me to believe he has never been someone's Master before. Hell, I'd go as far as to say he doesn't get much sex, so he jumps at the chance for any pussy he can.

I mean, really, if you're going to jump on someone you just met to make them a slave, without even know them... without knowing if they're clean, their personality, how they act, etc, etc, etc... it's pretty sad.

The way I see it, these guys start actively trying to **** people they've met an hour ago. I don't recall ever hearing of anyone asking if they were (sexually transmitted) disease free. This concerns me... because not only are they going to **** children, but they might have a disease (like herpes or aids) and infect the child with it, completely destroying their life (as if being molested isn't enough...)

Personally I won't touch someone until they go to a clinic and get tested for every sti currently known.

I can't pull up the article, but I distinctly recall reading that hardly any (if at all any) of the "predators" they caught were actually convicted.

Chris Hansen and Journalism shouldn't be used in the same sentence. Good for TV ratings i suppose.

I am sympathic to roasted's view. The situation he described leaves doubt in my mind whether the person had any intent to commit the crime. That is the essence of what entrapment is.

(I realize its not legally entrapment because its not law enforcement doing it, I am just talking about principles)

Come on, it's like blaming motorcycle manufacturers for your speeding ticket because your motorcycle has too much power. You control your throttle hand, you control your penis. Those guys were in chats talking to kids. They initiated sexual talk and proposed intercourse. The "bait" just easily agreed to what they proposed. Chances are they didn't have the skills to get a real kid, but in time they would have gotten better at it.

Found this within like 2 minutes of searching:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...aedophile-To-Catch-A-Predator-entrapment.html

From the article:

Judge Arthur Wick found prosecutors had failed to prove Mr Roisman had a 'specific intent' to commit the crime he was accused of - attempting lewd acts with a child under age 14.
In reaching his decision, Judge Wick slammed the tactics used by online watchdog Perverted Justice, NBC's partner in the investigation, which he suggested lacked credibility and engaged in entrapment.
