My old car and my old bike had neon rims so most officer paid attention. Pulled over once on the bike, the car was a monthly thing. Similar results as other people, the officers were always surprised to see my age and the fact I was driving an import set up for time attack.

Before I started riding, I thought that bikes in general get more hate than cars but I don't really see it that way nowadays. I believe that police actually responds more to noise level on crotch rockets than the way they look because most of them can't tell a sport tourer from a super sport. Loud cruisers are weirdly exempted. Maybe because the perception of them being slow, especially with some 400lbs dude on top. ;)

Just a few times on the bike, but not for me, they were looking for other riders. I got harassed the most when I owned a 1995 Eagle Talon. It was a magnet. Sold it ages ago, I haven't had a ticket in sooooooo long.. :D

We should have more of these polls. They seem to invite discussion without the usual rancor. Or it's the quiet before the storm. Not sure.

Don't think it matters really, cops can't just pull you over or stop you for nothing, they have to have a reason, at least in the legal sense. So that being said i've voted both because the only time i've ever been stopped is because i was breaking the law. I've been arrested for street racing, lost my license, driving without insurance, driving while suspended....the list goes on, and that was all from driving my car. Then i got into bikes and never got a single ticket, and got busted pulling wheelies(on 3 spearate ocasions) and talked my way out of it, going 200+ on the 401, talked my way out of it, and other times i straight out took off from them. Long story short i think it's hit or miss, but i have had more bad experiences with the cops driving than on bikes.

Sitting there about the tenth vehicle back at a traffic light down town had a pair of cops walk out of a bar look at me then have me pull over.I wasn't doing anything to attract attention just sitting there at the light. The cops were being their usual a hole self's and held me up for at least 20 minutes while they played with their radios and scratched their nuts. Finally they told me to take off without any coupons 'cause my papers were in order I smiled at them and said "thanks a lot usually I would get a ticket for sitting here watching the girls go by" swear that I heard the cop tell me to f off under his breath.

Lots in the car, especially when I was younger and drove like a goof.

Never on the bike.

Sat in the car for an hour or two one night at 3 am when the Officer's radio wasn't working properly. Not sure if he was waiting for me to sober up, or if he really had trouble.
It was my fault anyways, as I didn't have my papers with me.

Two hookers chatting to each other:

Hooker #1 "Have you ever been picked up by the fuzz?"
Hooker #2 "No, but I've been swung round by my tits"

No problems with cops in a long time. Last ugly pull over was on a XL350R in 1998 on which I had "forgotten" to remount the mirrors after transporting it in a van. I was dressed like Captain MX and, like Motorcycle Mike, the cop was visibly disturbed when pulling off my helmet revealed a CLASSICALLY HANDSOME GENTLEMAN. Cop still played like a dick for all it was worth tho.

I thought you said you were on the bike? :p

Not on the bike. But mine doesn't go fast, and I stay out of those noise monitored regions. Plenty of tickets in the minivan, though.

Got pulled over on the Buell last year. City cop, in town. He just ran my plate out of interest. He thought is might be a bogus plate because the registration actually has make listed as Harley Davidson. Told me it didn't look like a Harley and wanted to see what's up. No ticket. Just the time involved. He gave me the run down. Making sure I had my glasses on to comply with licence etc.

No tickets on a bike, knock on wood.

The cages? I seem to get busted when I get impatient with a luxury vehicle. Passing an Escalade on the 401. Bam! Passing an Audi A4? Zap! City cop let me off earlier this month with a warning. 85 in a 60. EVERYONE does 80 average on Airport Rd in London.

Told me the commercial businesses has complained so, they needed to post a car to please them. Told me to slow down for the next month or so.

First time in my life, I've ever been given a warning instead of a ticket.

That was awesome :lmao:

I haven't had a ticket since I was 20 (knock on wood) That said I was stopped twice on the bike, once they were looking for a local with the same bike and the second time because officer stupid "heard me doing a wheelie" Pity he was out of his car in the tim hortons parking lot with no line of sight as I was riding the 300 feet from work to their lot in 1st. He tried the whole license registration thing to which I said I don't think so. I asked if "driving like an idiot" in his words, was something he could issue a ticket for. He said no so I said have a good night and walked into the tims. He drove away :D

Reply of the day right there lol.

I found it amusing but now when he sees me in town he follows me to make sure I'm not doing wheelies lol

He probably thinks you're riding a 1000.

I've never been pulled over on my bike, but I've been pulled over while towing my bike.

You voted for never being pulled over and then told us how you've been pulled over a bunch of times... Am I missing something here?

I believe the poll was asking if you have ever been pulled over just because of what you were riding / driving, hence the omission of RIDE stops where everyone is stopped and checked out. Sorry if I interpreted the poll incorrectly.

If the poll is asking for any traffic stop, including legit ones, then I have been stopped way more times in my car, but only twice on a bike.

If that's the case I've never been pulled over for no reason. Always speeding.
