Well I was surprised today after work to find my Primmum renewal in the mail i cringed as i was opening it and to my surprise they dropped it $380 per year from $1510 to $1130 per year, just Liability for 2000 929RR 39yr old with gm. Has anyone else has a change in their rates this year?

I'm going to be one less ticket this renewal, (if it renewed a month later it would be ZERO tickets :rolleyes:)
Also I'm turning 30 this year. also have my Full M.

Never had a claim in my life.

It better go down. :mad:

Primmum also:
2011 = $1140
2012 = $1260
2009 GSX1300R - full coverage.
No changes to my record. Old man. No claims. :mad:

State Farm and TD/Meloche/Primmum will write the 929 if you qualify.

On my 03 R1, it went down from $1400 a year liability + fire/theft to $1100 with TD. Im still waiting on the rate on my 05 R1.

35 yo with 1 ticket on my record which goes away this month.

My Hayabusa is currently a paper weight. No one will insure me. I have an 09 Hayabusa, I've been riding for 6 years, I have had my license since I was 17 (I'm currently 28) and I have 2 minor speeding tickets. (Set to drop off in a year) no accidents. Everybody wants like $5,000 a year. 'eff that.

Is that too many convictions for State Farm to take you? In a couple of years when you're 30yo TD/Meloche/Primmum will give you a good rate on that bike. Otherwise, your bike is indeed a paper weight for a while.

well when I first went to them last season I had to fight tooth and nail as I Had stunt driving admin suspension on my record (with no conviction) and they seeme to want to avoind me like the plague....after lots of complaining they finally wrote up my insurance, Have since got a 15 over on my record oh well wont complain!

Mine went up about 20% over last year. :angryfire: Now in my case that is just $154 over last year, but there has been no other change to the coverage, or my spotless driving / riding record.

Needless to say, I will not be renewing my policy with Riders Plus and have gone back to the insurance company (Primmum), which I left just last year. Interestingly the cost at Primmum ($760.00) has not increased over the quote they provided to me last year. At the time I felt their quote was too high, but since it is now lower than what I am seeing this year, I have decided to go back. I will continue to shop around and buy my coverage from who ever offers the best price when it comes time to renew.

i just found out mine went down from $705 to $440/year with full coverage...i'm 43, single, female, clean record and got my M2 in May 2011...YAY!!!

Last year I was paying $975 for full coverage on my '01 Katana 750 through State Farm.

I just changed to TD and my new rate for this coming season...... $459! :D

The insurance on the '05 600RR stayed the same: $1,089 for only PLPD. The insurance on my '03 Escape went up $300 to $1,555 for only PLPD as well. Regardless of the fact that I still have a spotless abstract and no claims. :rolleyes:

^ Don't feel bad.
When I first signed my bike insurance policy last year, I had two minor convictions on my record.
They're both off my abstract and my insurance didn't go down a penny.
If I brought a car over with SF i would be saving big$$ (apparently) but I drive a company car...

SF used to tell me that all the time, but everytime they'd give me a quote they'd come back with: "uhhh....yeah. No. Looks like the premiums are too much for your car."
For a 4 door Pontiac Grand Am?! C'mon! It's a Family Sedan. Seesh!

I just got my renewal in the mail for my insurance (The Personal Ins.) and it went up about $10/month. No changes in my policy, or driving record. No claims. Only difference is that I'm 1 year older, with 1 more year of Claim free driving, and I have my Full M. :rolleyes:

Just got my Echelon renewal today.

Went from $692 to $703 for the year, and they deleted the "accident forgiveness" from my policy.

No claims made. Weird.

Time to call around. :)

.

Just received my renewal from Echelon as well. Up almost $200 with no change in the coverage. I have a clean abstract so I don't know what gives. Already in touch with SF, going to try Primmum as well.
