I want to get my M2 so bad. But is it worth the car and G2? I sorta know its a no-brainier but I want to see what others think, see the possibilities.
Ahhh...sounds like an emotional/aspirational buy (not being judgmental here...everyone has these, including me).
I think no amount of logic will settle this dilemma. You can weigh the pros and cons all day, but I think the scooter/motorcycle lifestyle is calling you, for some reason.
If you really want to be practical, the car is the best route (as others have said). But, life is not practical or logical. If you're looking to be a bit different than your peers, bike/scooter's the way to go, IMO. I had a car when I was 16 but, so too did most of my peers. There were only two guys in my peer group that rode (out of the whole school). They weren't part of the "in" crowd, but they were noticed by others. I suspect that most of your buddies don't ride. So, if you're going to hang out with other bikers, then most are likely older than you. Just something to think about.
Anyway, in these circumstance, it's best to let outside forces make the decision for you. I suspect that most, if not all, M1 exit courses are full, or won't have spots available until late-summer or early-fall (I could be wrong). If this is the case, then I think your decision has been made for you: going the car route, for now.
Hope you come to a decision.
