I'm new to the two wheeled realm, so new infact I don't even own a bike yet, just got my M1, and am in the process of signing up with Learning Curves for my M1 Exit course.

I had a great time reading some of the stories of how most of your nick names came to be.

Unfortunately my story isn't really that exciting. I've had my nick name since highschool, being Indian and male.

I always hung out with everyone who wasn't brown cause my school didn't have many. So I was the token brown guy.:D

It caught on quick. I guess that could have something to do with the custom plates on my car. I always thought it was the car that drew the attention and crowds, apparently it was the plates. I've actually caught people in my rear view mirror taking pictures and have had people stop me on the road to ask how I got them. Simple, I went to the DMV asked for them and 4 weeks later they were sent to me.:).

I also use GrumpyBrownGuy if BrownGuy is taken, I can be moody at times.:laughing8:

BTW this forum is awesome, I've learned a lot just poking around. Keep it up.

rafiki was a nickname given to me in high school from the monkey in the movie the Lion King and 911 because I love law enforcement. Been using rafiki911 since '96.

I'm so unoriginal in my choice of handle. I've always been told I'm adventurous (I skydive, bungee jump, white water raft, etc. etc.). I guess for a woman to be into a lot of somewhat extreme sports is a bit different and alarming to some. But if they're going to call me adventurous, figured might as well call myself "intrepid".

Not to hi-jack the thread but I can't for the love of god post a profile pic even though pixel and file size are under website requirements. Any suggestions?

Cool like Intrepid travel. They have all the cool adventurous trips:)
 
OK my handle is really pretty simple SBS those are my initials. 125 well that was my number when I raced amateur superbike in the 1980's. Now I use the number for track days. Not too exciting but that is what I came up with.

Love the road. Love the water - . . . Then there is the fact that I ride a "Voyager" (which can feel much like a boat at times) . . . and I have a tendancy to ride wherever the wind blows - in search of a beautiful mermaid.

Can't recall if I replied to this thread - too long to check. Funrider came up as I alsways have fun when on my bike (also the mtn bike). When on two wheels I can't help but have fun. Even the day I lowsided at the track - the bike and I came out ok and still had what was probably one of my best days.
 
I lurked here for a while before joining, so when it came time to choose a user name I decided I needed something cocky and juvenile if I wanted to fit in.

How did a Monkey in a Movie give you a nickname ? do you often communicate with cartoon monkeys from the Big screen ?

Is it just limited to Monkeys ? or do other cartoon animals also talk to you. If you ever see Jessica Rabbit, tell her she's hot.

lmao I didn't even notice I wrote it like that!!! I meant a friend in high school gave me that nickname and it is from the monkey in the lion king.
Oh and cartoon animals always talk to me....they are talking to me right now:)

I could never say "Gewurztraminer" yet alone spell it which is odd as it's my favourite, esp. the Alsace variety. I had to copy / paste the spelling from the internet.

I experienced a renaissance or rebirth after a period of my life smoking the devil's lettuce. Thus neo (new), Jake is my middle name and 73 is my year of birth. Cheers
