GXR600 vs. R6?!?!?!

The one you feel more comfortable on / fits you better.

Which GEN R6 vs GSXR 600 are we talking about here?

Im a bit biased towards older GSXR's if we are talking older GEN's, if the new gen stuff... 08 up R6's
 
Unless you'll be taking to the track, you won't take either of the bikes to their limits. Jump on both and get the one you like better.
 
The GSX600 comes with free sandals and T-shirt.

Can also check out the motorcycle.com suppersport shootout they do annually. But at the end of the day, the most valuable thing you can do is try the bikes yourself.
 
The problem with those magazine shootouts is that the bikes are all SO competent and SO similar to each other in specifications, that it's only possible to make the finest of hair-splitting judgments between them. And, that's when riding at a level that 99.9% of bikes sold, will never see, and at a level that will get you thrown in jail if done on the roads.

The shootouts never mention the little real-world pluses and minuses ... comfort on longish trips, whether there is enough of a storage cubbyhole under the passenger seat to fit your lunch or a spare set of gloves, ease of maintenance, etc.

Buy whichever fits you best. Differences in performance between the two is irrelevant.

Agreed. That's why I advised the OP to actually try the bikes for himself. At this level of comparison, better or best is subjective.
 
In the UK magazine "BIKE" they tested the latest supersport bikes and the verdict came out like this:

1st - Triumph Daytona (almost unanimous)
2nd - GSXR
3rd - CBR600RR
4th - ZX6
5th - R6 (almost unanimous)

The triumph has been getting some good reviews...lots of praise for the triple motor. heard a lot of good reviews about the new GSXR too.
They weren't too impressed with the CBR and the ZX6 and they all felt the R6 was too gutless on the street with a rev happy motor.

I do agree with what most are saying though...buy what you like.

Even more importantly....buy what's the most confortable!

From what I understand the R6/R1 is a track oriented bike that hits the powerband waaaayyy to high for on the street.
But what ever makes you happy, but dont listen to gixxer haters (there are a lot) they are just jealous that they spent 4-5gs more and got ****ing pumped by a gix!

No, but in all seriousness you will get idiots talking **** about every bike, they are all so similar that it comes down to three things Fit, Cost, Extras (extras being what one bike has over the other like the list i just made)
 
GSXR, hands down.

The R6 is lethargic and completely lacks midrange. For street use it's the worst 600 you can buy, IMO. No redeeming qualities.
