Guys with shoei helmets

Why does it have to be a Shoei helmet to worry about theft
I leave mine on display at work so everyone can see how awesome my helmet it.
Exactly. Is there something about a Shoei helmet that is more special or theft worthy than my Arai or Suomy helmets?

I always carry it with me, makes a good shopping basket.
Same, I feel like the X12 was made just for me. Now only if Shoei can come up with better designs, I'll be glad to buy another. I settled for the solid black since I didn't like any of the graphics at the time.
Try on many helmets, don't buy it for the name or style.
It needs to fit your particular head properly.
It should be tight but comfortable, there are much lighter helmets out there than shoei as well.
I was once bent on Arai until I was forced to try others because there were no Arai helmets where I was shopping.
What happened was I found that Suomy was much lighter and fit me just as well as the Arai.
Now I love both and the Suomy was half the price of the Arai and much lighter.

No, but I have it strapped to my Ogio bag or carry it wherever I go. I was more worried about not being able to replace it in case anything happened or it wore down. Its a RF-1000 Crest and there's not too many of those around, but I managed to find a guy with one my size...

my 600rr came with a rubber coated cable that you can loop though the chin section of the helmet and lock in to the trunk.
lots of guys use the gun locks as well. lebaron has them for under $10 and you can choose your own 3 digit combo.
putting the lock through the D ring is pointless, someone will cut the chin strap off and use it for gocarts or something like that.

I don't have one yet but I will soon. Which one were you planning on getting?
I bought a GT Air this spring. I love the flip down sun visor and pin lock visor. It has some noise issues though. It seems to make a whistling noise unless I tilt my head down. Maybe the aerodynamics were designed for an SS? It gets extremely annoying sometimes, to the point that it makes me miss my cheap speed and strength sometimes.
I bought a Qwest, pretty happy with it but thats because it fits my head really well. I used to have a Bell Vortex, I think the aero on that was better, and so were the vents. It was just too small for me and the next size up was too loose. My personal criteria for a helmet is SNELL rating and comfort. Then I try to look at prices/brands. I bought the Bell online because I had a car helmet and figured all sizes from the same company should work. Apparently not...
In short, if the Qwest matches your head, the quality is pretty nice. Although, I don't think it's worth the extra money over the $200 Bell (assuming the Bell fits your head).
Which Ogio bag do you have?

i was looking at one as well, ill probably get one for next season.
i tried one on and it fits a little more snug than my RF1100 (which is great for me)
i have a large RF1100 with the optional 2mm thicker padding(medium is wayy too small) and it fits the same as a standard large GT air (at least thats what i noticed.)
