Guy who had his motorcycle stolen, IS THIS THE ONE?

Cause the want to move it quick... who knows who cares. Not sure why you guys are analizing an idea I put out there.

Not picking on you, just can't understand the logic...
If that ad. was real, and the bike existed even at 7000$ it would sell right away.

so weird, did this scammer actually think someone will pay up 4800 without seeing the bike?

The reason these type of scams exist in the first place, is because somebody had fallen for it in the past. Unfortunately somebody will fall for it again and they will learn the hard way.

It's a common scam. Think about it, he posts the bike at $4800, gets a boat load of replies and then he tries to run the scam on all of them. The odds start to tilt in his favor given the pool of people he can select from.

I just bought that bike, and I asked the seller to take down the ad. The bike is currently in Halifax. The owner is at sea and he'll ship the bike to me.

Sounds like you got yourself a good deal... no way a sailor in Halifax would try to scam you... bwahahahahahahaha :agave:

Hi Matthew,

I am a prince of Egypt. I just inherited $1000000000000 from my relatives. However, because I am not of legal age, I cannot claim what is rightfully mine (infidels!). I would like to give you the opportunity to become my business partner and legal guardian, so that we can get this money right away. My lawyer has already completed the paper work. I just need you to send me your address and $10 000 for fees I cannot explain. So dont' delay, let's be rich together.

Sincerely,

John Smith

damn, i just miss a good deal on the internet.

This thread is like getting your iphone stolen and seeing someone else with an iphone and accusing them of being the thief. That bike is just so common, you can't just start accusing everyone who has that bike.

Guys, we are off topic rightnow. The bike is definately stolen, The owner of the kijiji ad did not say he is a sailor and he is out in the sea. These are all assumptions, Because as soon as I made this thread, he deleted the ad. there is no way any of us could send him a message since the ad is no longer there. The reality is, this is a rare Monster energy drink bike. same model which was stolen. And the guy who stole the bike isnt a noob, he probably steals stuff all the time and just switches different bodyparts and sells them to look like a legit seller. You should definately contact the police.

You think you're funny... You and you alone.

So what did he say when you emailed him?

The reality is, it's not that rare of a bike, plate / exhaust was different, price was so absurdly low that it screamed the typical scam kijiji ad. What was the response that so sold you that it was the stolen bike?

I never emailed him. As soon as I made this thread, the guy removed the ad. thats all.

I think your a tool! Obviously you had something to do with this, and your getting some cheap thrills from people replying to your post about a fake ad you made! Its obvious!
Now go back and under your rock and dont come back out till the riding season is over!

Have you heard of sri lanken theives? Anyways, I am just double checking, maybe thats his bike, you never know. It could be like a dream come true for the owner who lost his 2009 almost new bike. you never know. just double checking for my other motorcycle bro

I haven't heard much about them....so please do tell.

Guys, its not that bad a scam, assume he posts it at $4800 and gets 10 replies, he asks all 10 people, after they have seen the bike in person for a $500-1000 deposit. thats $5000-$10000 off just deposits, then they sell it for parts etc...literally, he could be showing that bike all day long and getting deposits for it.

Do you think you were the only person to see the ad? Ever consider that someone else saw the ad and did the Report this ad because the guy pulled the common scam of not being in the country, but needs to sell the bike and will have it shipped to you at no cost?

Maybe hes not a member of any motorcycle forums where people think their 2 year old bike should sell for $500 under its original sticker and priced it like he priced his used cars, and it sold!

Who knows, its all conjecture.
