Not sure mate. Insurance rates are insane on 600s. Don't see myself throwing 6k+ on a motorcycle insurance/yr when you can enjoy a little lighter motorbike for almost 1k/yr.

You don't need to get a 600 SS to enjoy similar performance. You get something like a 2006 Honda 599 (inverted forks, F3 engine, around 100 hp, made in Italy) which is low on the insurance list and is a blast to ride.
I'll second this. I love my new 600 honestly but I took a friends 1000 out for a short rip and already want the extra power.
