Not sure mate. Insurance rates are insane on 600s. Don't see myself throwing 6k+ on a motorcycle insurance/yr when you can enjoy a little lighter motorbike for almost 1k/yr.
You don't need to get a 600 SS to enjoy similar performance. You get something like a 2006 Honda 599 (inverted forks, F3 engine, around 100 hp, made in Italy) which is low on the insurance list and is a blast to ride.

I'll second this. I love my new 600 honestly but I took a friends 1000 out for a short rip and already want the extra power.

dkm...I rode my friends Cbr600 f4i and I liked it but insurance will rape me in many different ways! for now Ninja 300 will be good enough.
WHen I finished signing the papers for the Zx6r my sales guys made the allusion to "you'll love it but I'm sure you'll be back in a year or so for the ZX10r". I called him a bastard for speaking the truth so eloquently.
