GS500F having a difficult time starting

Oh....okay I will check, one sec.

EDIT: Choke on full and started the bike. Voltage increased to 13.0 before I got bored of watching it rise. You are correct.

What would cause a delayed throttle response when @ 120km/h or higher?

I'm not sure. It just doesn't seem to "pull" as much as it did before, or maybe it's my head playing tricks on me.

I know it can't be the chain as it was changed recently.

Changed doesnt always equate to being at the correct tension.
 
FYI so you guys dont make the same mistake as me. Our bikes are known to burn through oil. Check your oil every 1000 kms and top up when necessary. I killed my engine due to low oil. Wish I had known this before.

Yeah I know. I learned when I winterized the bike and found that 2000km after my last oil change it had ate from F to the L area lol

My bike goes through about 1L/2000 km. It's gettin pretty bad

A NOTE TO SUZUKI OWNERS: The red oil light is NOT a LOW OIL LEVEL light, it is a LOW OIL PRESSURE light. Yamaha uses that light as a low oil level light, so just thought I'd point that out incase any of you thought differently. Always check manually.
 
lmao wish I knew this stuff before I killed her. Oh well she is in surgery right now and will be better than before with less kms:)

The best part is it happened during my m2x on the high way. lmao I was so lucky it happened during the test as I was coming onto the off ramp already in the right lane.

So double wammy of luck for me, kill bike and not complete my mx2. lol

How much do you guys think I can sell my GS for anyway?.....I think I got ripped when I paid 3800 for it. It was at 13,000 with a ****ed up chain, no tread left in rear tire and clip on mods with clearance issues -_-

Should be able to get 25-3000 easily.

Ads are up for them usually around 3-4000 depending on year/mileage, but I'm not sure they actually sell lol.
Wait until spring, you'll get more.

Remember to list higher than what you want, so when someone talks you down to the actual price you want they think they're getting an amazing deal, and you get the price you wanted.
 
An other fyi: When ever boroughing a bike from a friend and you ask if all the paper work(insurance and ownership) is with the bike and they respond yes, double check anyways. Went to do the re test this past Sunday and went to fill out the paper work with the instructor and I only found the inurance card which expired October 29th of 2011. Glad I didnt get pulled over by a cop while riding it.

So I have to now wait til the spring to re do it and pay again:( lol
 
My baby is back and running better then ever:) Battery is awesome still too, starts her up on the first try even with the cooler temps. Road from Orangeville to Toronto with out any issues.

that's great to hear. Mine's fine after the plugs were cleaned. Now...who wants to buy it lol
