Green Kawi Down NB DVP Before Bloor

RIP Rider.

So sorry to hear we have lost another rider. Such a shame. My thoughts are with the family and friends. R.I.P.

i actually witnessed some of the accident while riding my Kawi southbound DVP at the exact same time... i saw a bunch of dirt/dust cloud on the shoulder... then spotted the riderless green ZX6R still up and moving while scraping against the Northbound DVP railing before it finally fell over. when i realized there was no rider on the bike i safely pulled over to call it in too. as drivers we're stopping everywhere. RIP indeed.

People seem to have a name here...was he one of ours (to echo another poster in this thread)?

This would explain why the bike was quite a ways down the highway from where the ambulance and firetruck were parked. When I rode by (on my ZX-6R - ironic) and saw the bike, it looked like it was in good shape. What made me feel queasy was the paramedics weren't doing anything, lots of activity over the barrier and looking at the top of the barrier - it's like a picket fence with the posts which would be very unforgiving to an ejected person.

I did read the name "David" and wondered if anyone had info? Nothing in any news reports. Condolences again to family and friends that knew him.

I don't think he was a poster here, but I really have no idea. Family friend to me, found out through the grapevine. Very sad.

RIP :(

Everyone please ride safe.... I dont like hearing a fellow biker died.

Rest in peace my friend. I will miss you and the laughs we had. He is my friend and I remember the day he got that bike, him so happy to leave work and go for a ride. I don't believe he posted on here but he was one awesome guy. I just found out today and I'm shook.

RIP

Was chatting with a fellow I met at the bar and he was telling me he saw a motorcycle crash right in front of him. Then I asked him more about it and he said that a green motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic going about 180-200 on the dvp when rider cut across three lanes at once and lost control and flew over the guard rails. He said that the rider's bike kept sliding for about 200 meter.

I'm not saying I take his story verbatim, but i asked him about it. He just mentioned it in passing.

RIP for the rider and condolences to his family. Please remember to ride safely and leave the aggressive driving for the track.
