I agree with the two of you in regards to the use of the front brake, however I wouldn't give it as advice to a noob, whit experience comes the ability to apply the front brakes gently and smooth, last thing i want is someone with little experience to think of applying the brakes when they come on gravel out of the blue

I understand, but then I think your advice should include slow down immediately to a crawl. Otherwise they won't be able to stop at all.
