Looks like the forecast for Saturday right now has a strong chance of rain... 70% Thunderstorms, 5-10mm rain.
If that happens, I'm sure a whack of GTAM guys would want to ride on the Sunday instead, as it's showing 28c, Variable Cloud/Sun 40% chance of precipitation.

I am booked for saturday, was still undecided about sunday but if the weather is crap on saturday then I will definitely stay and do the sunday ... only if its a bike only day, I agree with the majority, nothing against the car guys but its not as safe for us bike guys..

Two of us were planning on going Sunday, but neither of us have an intention on riding on a shared track day. Pulling debris back onto the track, dripping oil from engine, trans, or diff, coolant. These are all points that put me out of my comfort zone.

GB: The thing is, car guys probably won't have an issue with us...they won't crash cause of anything WE leave on the track. However, keep in mind...if there is something on the track from the CAR guys, we are risking our safety because of that. Big difference between crashing a car vs bike, IMO.

So it sounds to me like you are all going to sign up for Sunday if it's a bike only day?

In contrast to the weather report posted above ? go to accuweather type in Grand Bend and you get Sunny with a chance of rain or thunderstorm on Sat (30% probablility), sunny and 8% prob re Sunday. Weather channel only shows a 10% chance each day. Enviroment Canada - showers on Sat clear on Sun - need to get a little closer to the weekend to get a more accurate guess - because watching this unfold every weekend over the last 14 years -that is all it is basically.
The one difference with us is we have vac trucks, sweeper tractors, etc. so if it rains and stops like Thunderstorms do - we can clear the track of standing water so it will dry faster.

When's the last time the weather man was right this far in advance? Saturday could go either way.
If Saturday ends up being a washout then I might stay for Sunday. I'm already pre-registered for Saturday ... If I want to stay for Sunday I'll be registering at the track based on weather that I see at the time ...
This track is really close to the lake, and depending on how the wind blows off the lake, it can throw all predictions out the window.

I did a mixed day at tmp like this and had absolutely no issues withcars, dirt,oil, etc, everyone was courteous and all went smoothly. If my schedule and weather all pointed to a day like this I'd do it again.

If I wasn't out of the country for work, I'd be there. Slightly concerned about grass/dirt on the track from the cars, it would have to be a try and see, although not really worried about the pit traffic, its a big enough space. I'm hoping GB does more lapping days in the 2nd half of the summer, its looking a bit bare, great track, lots of fun to ride.

We have made a decision - IT WILL BE A BIKE LAPPING DAY ONLY.
Here is the deal - if you are already registered for Sat (with GTAM) then you can preregister for Sunday at $100 plus hst ($113) which gives you a bit of a break re the 2nd day. If you are just coming for Sunday preregistration is $125 plus hst. Pricing at the gate is $155 plus HST. Preregistration will be open until Friday at 5pm. Anybody running Sat that decides they want to stay for Sunday but didn't preregister can register on Sat at $125 plus HST.
So now that we have made the change to your wishes, and for those that said they would come if it was bikes only - I hope you support us.
