GPS Recommendation

It should have been easy. The brackets are well made however the fasteners required are not included

I need a 4 shoulder bolt, m5 x 20 with a 7 x 5 shoulder. Try finding 4 of those in stainless.

Fortunately a box of donuts goes a long way in my machine shop, I’m settling for regular fairing bolts with bushings, should be good for next week.

The he 7” Android GPS is a little big but it fits.
Looked at that site, and they don't have one for my Wee. Closest thing was over $100.
Will stick to the U bolts through the Windscreen mount holes for now.

Stupid question (maybe) but can I load routes into any GPS? Or only certain brands will allow route loading/building?

Not a stupid question. I believe some older and more basic models of GPS will have limited functionality in terms of how detailed your routes will be. Points along a route are often called "waypoints", often where the route will change direction away from the most direct path. For example a direct route from GTA to Montreal will have minimal waypoints as you are primarily on the 401. If you decide to take the scenic route through Algonquin, you will have many added roads that are not the most direct route. If you plan on using the GPS for plotting out curvy routes that might be a full day in length, then get a GPS that allows for plotting of many waypoints.

I have owned basic GPS's that were not very good at importing my own custom built routes. I would think that most GPS's nowadays that are in the $200+ range will allow for multiple waypoints, importing my routes, etc. Every GPS I have seen allows for building routes directly in the GPS unit itself, but that is often a clumsy way of route building - much faster do build them on laptop and then transfer them over.

I use Google Maps on an Android (currently use an older HTC phone because it has a super bright and high contrast display that's viewable under sunlight). I can create a route on my computer and dump it to my phone or Android GPS, i can also share it easily with others - way easier than importing to Garmin or TomTom standalone GPS I can also use WAZE for urban stuff.

The Android thing has worked great for me, all my android apps become available and I can I hotspot it to my phone when data is required.
