GP Bikes

+1

The floor guys and gals are amazing. Zero pressure. All help. I go and buy nothing each time and they still love to help.

I bought my wife a 696 last year there, my 6 Ducati's also came from them.... always the best to deal with.

I've been shopping there for five years with generally very good experiences, including buying a used bike from Carl. Occassionally a bit of wait for attention when browsing gear but the service has always been friendly and helpful.

And on bike sales, I've actually seen them try to steer people away from bikes that were obviously too much for their current skills. Good for them.

I agree most guys at GP bikes are top notch. I'm thinking about picking up a Monster this month, but was disappointed to hear that there was ZERO room for haggling on the price.

Basically I was told to pay full MSRP, or a Ducati bike doesn't sell. I'm kinda skiptical about that.. Has this always been the case?

+ 2 for gp. My father purchased a used bike and got free storage until spring and some free modifications. I purchased a monster 1000 evo form them and got free pick up and free 1st service. Jeremy in sales and tom in parts are awsome to deal with.

it was a long confusing deal. it was a trade in which they picked up the bike from his house and did 1000 km service for free. Also were very quick to fix a recall on the rear rim free of charge.

I had the same issue on a new KTM. Wouldn't sell for less than list. Went elsewhere and saved $2K Not knocking. Just wouldnt buy a new bike there if they wont discount. Other than that great organized store. Best selection in Ontario. Best place for gear

I've ordered parts over the phone and had them screw up twice in a row costing me riding time but in most cases they are a great store. I ordered in some SMX-Plus boots this week and they had them in the store within 4 days and even price matched Royals price. I do highly recommend these guys to do business with (Carl is the guy to see for bike sales IMO). And to add, service could be hit or miss in the past but in the past year I've always had lots of staff asking to help me out (but zero pressure).

It seems to me these guys are a bit of gamble in terms of service and correctitude. I've been buying gear from them for the past few years(helmets, gloves, riding gear, etc.) and sometimes the service is spot on, other times sketchy as hell. Today I went to pick up a helmet. I chose the Shark Vision-R matt black when I noticed that it was cheaper than the regular black one by about $60. The girl at the register charged me the full price without even blinking. I brought to her attention the price difference and even took her to the helmet section to show her. She just nodded(aha ok) without apologizing or anything and charged me the lower price I pointed out to her.
She would've basically overcharge me, np if I didn't bring it to her attention. Not cool!

Yeah, I won't go there for Service anymore due to them missing a couple things on my bike but the customer service from the Parts and Gear people is tops

I've had one jerk of a kid treat me like crap. But overall the other staff members are superb.

Jerry runs a first class operation, I have purchased products there for many years and will continue to.

Jeff Bolt in the parts department is the best!

I like GP but wtf is it so bloody far away?!?!?

It was far when it was Ajax and now Whitby? ... Ugh. I'd rather they went to Markham or something a little more central.

I like GP. There return policy is great. I had an issue with a USB adapter that worked intermittently and they offered exchange or refund when I returned it. Exchanged a battery also no problem. Another good guy to get bike stuff from is motorcycle innovations. He is located in Whitby, mail order only. If you live in Whitby Matt will deliver no charge. Check out his website.

I have nothing but good to say about GP Bikes.
Their staff members are attentive and respectful. And in case if you find yourself unhappy with a purchase or service - they will go out their way to turn that around.
Yes, price wise it's not the 'best' place if you are looking for a bargain deal, HOWEVER, their customer service is second to none.

Perhaps, this is why everytime I come in it feels like I'm reuniting with the family.

I purchased my bike from them back in 09 when they were in Ajax. No issues whatsoever. They were knowledgeable and treated me with respect. Great transaction.

Well I didn't buy my Ducati there. I asked if there was any room to move on the price sales guy told me he could take off $50 bucks form the MSRP. I looked at him and laughed I thought he joking but sadly he was serious. I have been treated like crap on two or three separate occasions in the parts department. Go to London and get a better deal.
