Thats wrong, the OP has no fault on him at all which means the other drivers insurance will cover the OP's deductible and if the other driver claims damage to his vehicle then he will have to pay his own deductible.

Ahh i must've been thinking it was a single vechile accident for some reason. First post in the early morning :p. Carry on lol.

You really don't get it do you? My post was pretty simple to understand even for a 12 year old. Reporting him has nothing to do with money, it has everything to do with making him suffer a little bit for his stupidity and making him pay a little more attention next time.

Wrong! My car was totalled because some moron ran a red light. I had witnesses, and I was 100% not at fault. However, everytime I go to get a quote I have to answer yes to the accident question. I can't help but think when you answer yes to that question you get inflated quotes. There is no upside for the at fault and the not at fault. You both lose. If the at fault driver is fully prepared to fix his bike at his expense, have at it. Logic dictates he wouldn't suffer from reporting him but the insurance industry in ontario is so untrustworthy I wouldn't trust logic. They look for ways to jack your rates.

Thats weird because all the quotes I have got asked have you ever been in an accident that was your fault?

+1

Always state you have no at-fault accidents (if that is the case). You might want to watch out though as insurance companies may have put you down as a 50/50 accident, even though the police report may have said otherwise. Had it happen to me.
