Just bought a new corsair v at Duke of Cycles in rexdale. Great price of only $600 taxes in cash. They had only 3 left and I purchased one.

Both Still for sale, the monster was a medium and the black one was a large.

Happy shopping!

That's actually a great price... congrats!
Now go do some riding! lol

Oh yeah. You gotta remember this is the highest end model for arai. The cheapest price on the net I can find is $700 plus duties. The guy said he's taking a loss.

Btw he had x-12 too for cheap but I didn't bother asking how much

I still can't believe you stored your bike so early...
Send me a msg anytime you're ready!

Yeah he said it was a better deal then the arai so I assumed it was a good deal

sweeet deal!

I just bought my first Arai helmet about a month ago, picked up an XD3. I am very impressed with the quality of the Arai helmet, and even the fit. I had never looked at the Arai because I always heard that it was either Shoei or Arai, if one fit well the other would not. Seems I can wear both, I have an RF1100, and now the XD3 and both feel great.

My head does not fit the x12, rf1100, rf1000. So I'm stuck on arai. I had a rx-7 previous to this corsair v and while trying on other helmets nothing fit me as good as this corsair v. I was a little upset as most corsairs are $800+ locally. Found this deal and couldn't resist even tho it doesn't match my bike.

IMO once you go arai you never go back

I like the Arai, but if a BMW Enduro helmet came up on sale I would buy it over the Arai. I have the Enduro helmet know, just worn it down and needed a new lid. The Arai was on sale so I decided to try that. Great helmet, but I prefer the BMW lid.

Really I haven't even heard of it. If I had a BMW I would consider it but since I have a Suzuki I would not. Does BMW actually make the helmet? And is it for SS bikes?

Doubt he's making a loss....

Mark up on motorcycle helmets according to WebBikeWorld is 40-50% which is why so many manufacturers want a piece of the market.

Yeah true but I see used V's sell for more so still a good price. Does anyone know the cost price is for these?

Who cares!? you got yourself a top of the line helmet for CHEAP... I paid more than that for my x12 solid...

Not on Arias, most of the Canadian Arai distributors only give shops about %20 off ARAI helmets.....Other brands can be up too 40-50% off retail, but not ARAI...Unless of coarse the shop does a large booking order....

When you look in any of the catalogs there is a price discount code beside the retail price, that code determines what their discount is....Top of the line brands like ARAI, OHLINS, AKRAPOVIC, Etc etc always have the lowest discount rate, compared to average brands like Joe Rocket, HJC, ICON, Hindle, etc which can be 40-50% like you suggest

Sad part is even thou I have some accounts with these distributors , I can still usually buy Arai helmets online cheaper then my own shops dealer cost!

I can second what jc100 has mentioned.. Markups will vary depending on the distributor but generally the difference from cost to MSRP is more than double. The distributor will mark up the item by something like 30-35% and then sells to the retailer who then marks it up by MUCH MUCH more.

If the MSRP of the helmet is $800, I would estimate the true cost to be around $340, the distributor then sells to the retailer for $500. The item is then sold to the customer around MSRP.

Someone else makes it for them, but they design and badge it. The Enduro is not for sport bikes, its in the same family as the XD3. They do have standard helmets, but I think for the most part they would be pricier then the Arai.
