I will be going on a big trip with my 13 yr old daughter which may consist of 2000km & thinking of getting a GoPro camera to go onto my helmet as our trip will be something I want her to remember.
Would like to get some reviews on some good GoPro mounts that would go onto my helmet without having a fear that it would fly off.
We will be on a VStar 1100 Classic with a tall stock windscreen, so the camera would have to be above it when capturing.

I've only ever had the mounts that came with the GoPro and they are insane. I had one on top of my helmet and it caught a tree branch while dirt biking in the woods, and the damn thing nearly pulled me off my bike. I have full 99.9% confidence in the stock mounts, and that's only because nothing is 100%.

You can get an aftermarket grabbag from Amazon for $40 of every mount you'll ever need....just be aware that the buckles on these mounts snap, but so do the actual GoPro mounts.

The glue is strong, but the mounts are cheaper quality plastic obviously.

If you're going for the best view from a GoPro, the chin mount is the best place to get that view. There are various chin mounts available.

Personally, I don't like GoPro and am currently exploring other options. The Drift Ghost can be had for $140 on Amazon.
